Especially those who suggest Ken Oman is better than him. I have no idea why some people have a 'set' against him, I think he is a quality player and, clearly, a very good leader.
As for ourselves, we will be signing Gwlay-born players Alan Keane, John Russell, Stephen O'Donnell and Daryl Horgan. Once I win the Euromillions tonight

"Homer Simpson, smiling politely."
Every Rovers fan would be sad to see a quality player like Murray go, but it might just be that he prefers life in Cork and you can't really help that. Murray has those intangible qualities like leadership and an innate sense of positioning, but Oman and Sives are the more natural athletes and Sives at least is going to keep improving as he gets older. Oman is probably at his peak these last couple of seasons.
Dan Murray was treated badly by Rovers fans? or Cork Fans or both? (reply didn't work) at some longford fan

That's a couple years of under the table payments right there.
Even without a sell on clause Sligo (and his previous clubs) would be due 0.5% of the fee for each year spent with the club while Coleman was under 23 I think. A £5 million deal would see £25k per year paid out. A nice boost for Sligo and a very, very nice boost for his previous club (St Catherine's was it?)

Ah he's easily worth 50 million in that case so.
Seriously tho, people are going to say that we were mental not to get a sell on clause. But at the time he was sold Everton were the only team willing to pay a fee for him with one SPL and a Champ. level team willing to take him on loan. His contract only had a year to run if I remember correctly so the club did well geting the sale fee + first team app. bonus + 10 game bonus + international cap bonus + everton friendly.
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
Heard Colin Healy is going to Cork.
Appearently Tommy Dunne offered Blinkthorn a contract in Dublin on Thursday night.
Luton and Morcambe also interested in him .
I'd fricking love to get Healy back. Absolute class! Can't see it happening though.
He was supposed to come on loan for the latter part of last season but then got a run at Sligo and banged in a few goals so he stayed.
Did himself no favours in the Cup Final though.
I suppose we'd take him off Sligos hands if they were to consider letting Daryl come down too.
