Was great for us at the start of the 2010 season (along with Kenna). Got injured towards the end of thseason, came back and looked a different player. Way too many errors.
When he came back from his loan from Dundalk he played twice. Once excellently, once awfully. Got injured again
There were rumours that it was an illness rather than an injury.

Daryl Kavanagh was average with us. Good in fits and starts but when he got his attitude right seemed to do very well for Pats. The same could be said for Sean O Connor, he was nothing short of disgraceful with us, lazy, thought he was better than everyone and put no effort in. He did pretty well on his return to Pats.
A lot of things can come into play with regards to players performances.
Hopefully Guthrie can be a good signing for ourselves and hit 2010 form and not 2011 form.
Talking to someone that knows Guths they said his performance may have dropped because he became unsettled over being away from Tralee while his missus was pregnant in Tralee.
Might not be any truth in it but he said that he was mad to move closer to home so that could have had something to do with it.
Id be fairly sure he is better then Brian McCarthy and if that turns out to be the case then we have made an improvement on what was the 2nd best defence in the country last season thats fine by me.
From today's Irish Daily Mail:
Derry flashing the cash to hold on to Stephen
By: PHILIP QUINN
DERRY CITY have upped the ante in a dramatic effort to keep Stephen Kenny away from the clutches of Shamrock Rovers.
The Brandywell board have offered Kenny a two-year extension on top of his current deal, which would keep him at the club until 2014.
They have also promised to plough next season's €70,000 Europa League cheque into the playing budget to give Kenny (right) extra clout in terms of strengthening the squad. With his wife and four children settled in Fahan, just outside Derry, Kenny was last night agonising over the offer from Rovers to succeed Michael O'Neill.
Derry feel they have done all they can to persuade Kenny to stay but the final decision rests with the 40-year-old. Rovers remain optimistic they will land the Dubliner and have agreed to pay compensation to Derry of around €25,000, should Kenny accept their offer.
For the moment, Rovers are prepared to sit tight and a press conference planned for today announcing the Kenny appointment was put on hold.

So it's Kenny call. Or the missus's maybe.
Karl Bermingham has joined LTFC apparently, along with Noel Haverty and Craig Hyland (Shamrock Rovers A keeper). Alan Kirby may also be signing, he's deciding on an offer from us it seems, he may get a more attractive offer yet I guess.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

our signings confd!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Fabio O'Brien is the latest to head to Mick C*nts exmufc louth branch. Its a big miss but in rod we trust I suppose
Mons seem to be losing all the main players form last season.....Strange one thought they would want to stray together after being promoted together.....Although i suppose most of them are staying together just not at Monaghan.
Peter Cherrie, Stephen McDonnell and Colin Hawkins re-signed for DFC.(LMFM)
Cumann Peile Dún Dealgan - Champions 2015 (too many accolades to be typing)
Termonbarry Athletic TID!
Brian Shorthall to Shels apparently done.
Solid start by McCaffrey and 4 very good players on board, (Griffen signed last night)
Slight worry over Hawkins fitness and wage demands, but overall very happy esp with McDonnell, he has potential to have a great season and career ahead of him.
6k budget too seems decent considering all.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), only Irish club to win a game / points in Europa League Group Stage (2016).
Yeah, he left right before last season started in 'controversial' circumstances. We were lucky to have the first week off and to get Roddy (in hindsight). Now the players that weren't worth Mick sticking around for last year are good enough to nab this year. I'd wish the players all the best, you have to after last season, but I'm surprised that Ryan Brennan or Sava didn't get signed by a bigger team tbh.
Darren Meenan signed for pats today from ucd, don't really know much of him anyone shed any light ?
