Jason would be my Rovers and LOI Player Of The Year. Didn't think he was a great signing at the start of the season, but is probably Cook's best ever deal along with Ndo and Chris Butler.

    But we're all biased.

No question Gary Dempsey has to be in it. He carried Bray the whole season and is a great captain. Should be Player of the Year in my opinion.

He is ridiculously over rated, good season but not our best player or best defender, Keane is a far bigger loss to our team and Peers is everything to our defence.
Like I said a million times before if Peers was signed at the same time as Mc Guinness people would be raveing about him but now his quality is just over looked.

You sound like one of the crazy aul lads in the Treacy.

Peers has been good this year, but nowhere near as good as last two seasons. It's no coincidence we've conceded so few goals compared to previous seasons.

The humanity - must we quibble over these two wonderful players! I think both are complimentary, McGuinness aerial ability and increasing confidence going forward - with Peers simply brilliant in reading the game (admittedly he does the odd back pass that would have your heart in your mouth).

For me, our back four, Davoren and Keane, are best in the league.

Irony that having scored the most goals - most fans will say we need a clinical striker.

Maybe I do but I think you will find our defensive record improved dramatically when we signed a decent centre back to partner Peers half way through last season with Jim.
Personally I would have rathered keep Jim but Mc Guinness has done a good job but this absolute cack about him being the best player this season is just laughable.
Personally my stand out man in defence is Keane and people like Richie are far more integral to our overall play than Mc Guinness not to mention Doyler who has broken a club record.

Richie wasn't half the player this year compared to last, and even compared to the second half of '08 when he signed. Suppose it's down to him being a marked man every game this year, but you could also say other teams got clever to him a few months into last season, knowing how well he was playing. And he still managed to flourish.

I do think that Keane is our most important player though, we're not the same without him and he's our most 'attacking' player. But I still think Jay has been our best performer when you take in all competitions.

If everyone else is at it...

    Clarke

    Sullivan
    Sives
    Peers
    Lafferty

    Ndo
    Rice
    Dempsey
    McClean

    Zayed
    Sheppard

Ndo is only in there for the performance he put in for Sligo in their win in Tallaght. Sheppard for the way he came in at the end of the season and Twigg wasn't missed.
I phoned the speaking clock to hear a voice speak, it said - "At the tone you will be very much alone"
