    Bad Timing?

Could the game against Bulgaria in Lansdowne Road on the 18th of August do more harm than good? With injuries, players unsettled at their clubs and the Premiership having just started is there any justification for this fixture? Bearing in mind that some players will also be involved in Champions League Qualifiers the weeks before and after this fixture.
I think we're asking for trouble!

Unlikely City will have a midweek game that week so i'm sure we could spare a few players.

Be interesting irish squad for sure anyway.

I think once it's used as a means of looking at a few more fringe player and Kerr is looking for a 'result' it'll be useful. I wouldn't expect to see too many first team regulars involved.
