    Well done Shels

Congrats to Shels a 2-2 draw in Iceland - 0-0 at half time - 2 down within 7 minute sof the second half but 2 in the last 7 minutes from Mooro 83 & Sigurdsson og did the trick.

I know it's an Aertel result but BBC text had the result first so assume it is correct and they copied BBC.

Good result, proves that eircom league teams do have the bottle to come from behind to get a result. any result bar a defeat or a high score draw should see them through.

Yeah that's all correct. 2-2 is a very good result for any side away from home in Europe, with two very important players in Crawford and Fitzpatrick back next week we should be able to finish the job.

Good away result, but excuse me if Im wrong, but did Shels not draw 2-2 away to Hibs Malta 2 seasons ago???

    Hopefully mistakes wont be repeated.

KR are a far better team than Hibs and Shels should have scored 5 that night - still the sickest defeat ever by an Irish sid ein europe. However Shels failed to react to a late tactical substitution and really should have just closed the game out v very limited opponents.

More Pat Fenlon comments were his teamhave problems now when forced to attack - well a scoreless draw will do just fine and I and I'm sure othe rLOI fans would gladly cheer them on to a terrible boring 0-0 draw next week.

Just Get through Pat. A win would be nice for the coefficient though.

    from uefa.com

    Shelbourne fightback
Finally, KR threw away a two-goal lead in the last six minutes at home against Shelbourne. The visiting Republic of Ireland side had kept KR at bay for the first half but were undone by two goals soon after the interval. Arnar Jon Sigurgeirsson scored in the 47th minute before Sigurvin Olafsson doubled KR's advantage seven minutes later.

    Hajduk next
However, Alan Moore gave Shelbourne a lifeline in the 84th minute before Kristjan Orn Sigurdsson's own goal in the 87th minute left the tie finely balanced at 2-2 with the return to come in Dublin next Wednesday. The winners will face Croatian champions HNK Hajduk Split in the next round..

Shels should go out and play for a win in the home tie. Playing for the scoreless draw is dangerous. Best of luck to them, hope they do it.

Couldn't believe it when I flicked on Aertel at 11 to see 2-2. I'd given up looking at it when they went 2 down. The two away goals are very useful so hopefully they can finish it off next week.

With two away goals should go all out and score early and put it to bed early. Great result and great turn of events for eL clubs. Keep 'em comin' !!

I won money on Shels last night and had intended to put two bets on Bohs drawing and winning but didn't realise the kick off was so early, so I missed that and then put €20 on Longford and they bloody lost!!!!!

Still, Irish clubs so far this season in Europe:

P7 W3 D3 L1 -If we got results like that every year it would be great.
