Well Hendrick got his start tonight but it didn't inspire Derby as they were held to a scoreless home draw against Preston. This slump is looking terminal. Hendrick was replaced with twenty minutes left. Clean sheets for Christie, Keogh and Cunnigham at least and Alan Browne came off the bench late on.

The thing is every team go through a slump at some stage in the championship, but that doesn't mean it's terminal. Last season, Derby's slump came at the worst time. They are going through a slump now since mid-season but are still comfortably in the top 6. Just need to pick it up very soon.

Yeah but the automatic spots were very much the objective, they invested heavily and that's starting to appear out of reach. They just look so limp in attack all of a sudden, they showed the best 'chance' of the game on SSN there and it was a Preston shot from distance touched over.

Terminal slide though would be out of the top 6 and if they did slide out, it would be hard to see them scrap their way back in.
In theory, their next 4 games is their easiest patch and where they can stop their slide.

I meant terminal in relation to the automatic spots (well, and with how last season unfolded in mind). Obviously if they finish sixth and win the playoffs it won't be terminal.

I agree, and even mentioned, about the run of fixtures but last night was very much the start of that I would have thought. It was arguably the easiest fixture (on paper) in the run and they didn't even muster a shot on target.

There are plenty of points to play for and maybe one win will put them back on track, but the sense of deja-vu must be a bit unnerving for them. Like you said, the fact that the rot has set in earlier than last season gives them a better opportunity to turn it around in time. Plus, they have nowhere near the same injury troubles.

Derby tottering on the edge of terminality.
A one all draw today, but scored both goals. But their own goal was as superb a one touch own goal as has ever been scored. Barca would have been proud to score such an own goal.

Have some patience and let me try and make sense out of that "fixed" intervention. You have "issues" with another poster and you have attempted to pervert ("fix") my post in order to have a bit of fun? And you have the idea that you have fixed my reply??

Yes, I was just having a bit of fun. Forgive me.

I have no "issues" with Doc. However, I'm beginning to realize that you have "issues" with me given some of our most recent interactions.

No Stu I have no issues with you at all, I just happen to digress from the "fix it". I appreciate that it could be interpreted as personal, but trust me it's not. I would digress with any poster who exclaims " fixed it for ya" when they really don't fix sh*t.

Maybe I am alone in having this issue but i considered my reply to be reasonably perfect, ie if one appreciates really dry, dead pan (aka boring) humour, that did not need the intervention of an obscure fixit.

    Yeah man, sounds good.

Anyway, don't worry, I won't attempt to fix your sh*t again.

You appear to be correct Paul! Wow, I've been saying it and writing it wrong for yonks in that case. I've never been corrected so perhaps it's flexible...?? More likely they're just laughing at my attempts!

Perhaps you were really were on the ball with sensing that the grim reaper was hovering around Derby fc's promotion hopes and ready to swoop.
Clement terminated, maybe Derby are just offering Clement up as the sacrificial lamb to put a stay on the execution order, get in a manager who can keep them in the top 6.

Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
