Hull are said to have made a bid of £10m for Hendrick, which is believed to be the figure Derby were holding out for.

Deal with Hull agreed, apparently: https://twitter.com/MirrorAnderson/s...85816887271424
Hull have agreed a £10m fee with Derby for Jeff Hendrick. He will have a medical tomorrow. David Marshall's £3.5m move from Cardiff close.

Increasingly underwhelming how our players are viewed in transfer destination terms after the optimism of only a few weeks ago of their performances.

Hull splasing out ten million quid on one player.

Bloody hell, the Premiership has gone utterly mad.

That'd be a record for Hull - and Hull are also involved in what I presume is the record transfer for an Irish player, when they sold Shane Long for £12.5m.

Have to be honest, I don't remember Long playing for Hull at all.

I think Duff to Chelsea is the record, 17m?

Certainly higher than Long alright. Though at least he was maybe worth it, which I guess is why I forgot about it!

Keane's was up to £20m but his stay was so short the add-ons weren't triggered, so it depends on whether you count it or not.

It's probably 5th highest for Irish player, behind Robbie to Liverpool/spurs/Milan, Duffer, James McCarthy and Shane long.

If you asked me to guess what teams would be bidding for players like Hendrick and Brady after Euro 2012, I would have told you Burnley and Hull.

Eddie Howe has signed Marc Wilson for Bournemouth. Mark Hughes has signed Ryan Sweeney for Stoke.

A British manager the common denominator every time.

With more money in the English game and the proliferation of foreign managers, the PL is going to become a graveyard for Irish footballers.

Who are going to have to become more open-minded about playing outside Great Britain and Ireland.

I personally think the situation is beyond ridiculous at this stage.

Hull appear to be considering other options in the midfield, according to this: http://www.football365.com/news/hull...urs-midfielder

Not sure how these moves would impact Hendrick's potential move. Maybe not at all. Hull are probably hoping for as many first team players as they can bring in.

Yeah, it wouldn't seem so according to this.

Well you said that you couldn't see any PL team coming in for him, so you were proved wrong as soon as Burnley put a bid in.

    And this: https://www.theguardian.com/football...keane-hendrick

Looks like Mason is off to Sunderland so less competition for Meyler and Hendrick, perhaps.

Hendrick has trained with Ireland this morning so it looks like the reports of him earning a move to the PL have been premature.

If Hendrick and Brady can't get a move, even to a team like Burnley or Hull, after impressing in a European Championships then what hope do you have really?

You're hot linked to that Derby Telegraph
I read in that article, if Jeff will depart he will be following in the footsteps of Seth Johnson.

I'm hot linked to a friend over there actually. He's a little traumatised over these developments, says 'Hendo' is his favourite Derby player since Igor Stimac!

Maybe Hull were playing Mason and Hendrick off eachother. They've announced the signing of Mason for a club record fee.

Medical tomorrow for Hendrick ahead of a £10.5 million move to Burnley. Can't complain too much about that move for him. Dyche is a good, young manager who clearly rates Hendrick. He often speaks about the need for a club like Burnley to be prudent so this is a show of faith. Defour is a fairly experienced player to be pitted beside too and I'd be positive about Hendrick using his surging runs to link up with a speed-merchant like Andre Gray getting in behind defences.
