The Englishmen came over in the year 2005
But little did they know that we'd planned a wee surprise
Sir David scored the winner, and Windsor Park went wild
And this is what we sang...

No I don't. Most of the people I know at Rovers don't want Fenlon and they would be well over 25. His record in europe is poor, he doesn't play great football which is a reason many get annoyed with O'Neill so no improvement there, he is a bit of a c**t who often throws the toys out of the pram and has public disagreements with his board when he doesn't get his way so I don't see him fitting in with the structures at Rovers.

Contract was offered as far as I know. O'Neill hasn't signed and rumours are he wants a lot more money than Rovers are willing to pay.

Michael O'Neill manageing at international level would be hilarious.
Even with the possible enjoyment of him getting an international job I will still be hopeing and praying he stays at Shams.

I think the Shamrock Rovers players deserve to be applauded for all they've achieved with the worst manager in the world AND the worst captain/centre half in the world.

No one ever said Murray was a bad captain. For years I've presumed his leadership skills were so brilliant, it made up for the fact he was the worst professional footbaler of all time.

    And heads balls.

At his feet he's terrible. One of the great mysteries, how he's so successful..

we watched him week in week out for years and happen to think hes a great footballing centre half - do I have to go bring out the highlights from our FAI cup win in 2007 (great pass to John O'Flynn to set up Denis for the goal) or our Setanta semi in 08 (marauding run down the left, left foot cross to Timmy Kiely to score) again.

Can't wait til hes back here next year

Dan Murray is one of the best technical ball-playing defenders in the league. His passing (and Sives') has been particularly good in the Europa League games. His big weak spot is a severe lack of pace and mobility. He might not always look great in run of the mill league games but for the big ones he always stands out.

Wish I could find a video of the penalty he gave away V Dundalk earlier this year.

On the opening day? Not sure what that has to do with his passing ability.

Well for a donkey he's very good at kicking the football so I'm happy enough.

A donkey is also quite a good kicker should you annoy it, but doesn't mean it always kicks in the right direction.

He'll be only 30, surely that's a bit young to be winding down his career in the first division

MON at the end of this season will have won more LOI titles than Sligo have in the last 30 years.
His record in LOI stands up against anybodies. You on the other hand will be lucky not to finish 3rd in a 2 horse race.
Maybe if you had MON and not cooke you wouldnt have the small club mentality any more.
