    The FAI's annual general meeting was billed as being an acrimonious one with the president Milo Corcoran expected to continue his attempts to remove honorary secretary Kevin Fahey. However, the association was keen to grab some positive headlines and thus came first the rumours of one proposal and ultimately confirmation of plans for two ambitious moves

    The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
