I'd have to go with Robbie with his eight goals in nine games for us over the past year. Exceptional. Eight in a year is the highest tally he's ever achieved, also managing it in 2011 after ten appearances. It was especially pleasing to see after he had scored only one in eight in 2012.

Honourable mention too for Séamie Coleman, who's slotted into international football so comfortably and looks a real gem of a player. Trap should have called him up a decade ago!

David Forde also did well over the past year and is deserving of praise.

How many motm's did McCarthy get? Granted the Faroes one was actually last year but I make it at least three... Faroes (a), Sweden (a) and Kaz (h)... is this correct? Fair going given his short run in the team and obviously there were a couple of poor ones in there too.

It would be between Coleman and Keane for me all the same I think.
