    Andorra v Repuiblic of Ireland - Friday, 7th October 2011 - Euro 2012 Qualifier

Obviously have to win this one. Actually believe the pitch and surroundings will help us. Trap and Tardelli have been spot on with their public comments this week about this game. They have given Andorra just enough respect. Don't care if it is 1-0 to us. Just get the three points. I fancy us to beat them 2 or 3 nil but any win will do.

Nervous but an early goal for us will help ease those nerves!

On pins and needles here as well, should be studying or sleeping but can't concentrate.

EDIT: An hour and a half and two separate stints trying to sleep later and still no luck

    I'm going for 3-0

Whelan & Andrews to pass the ball forward
Doyle to get on the scoresheet.

2-1. We'll score first. Adrews with a bullet. We'll relax. They'll score. It'll be nervy for a while. Keane will get a poacher's goal with ten minutes to go and then we'll have ten minutes of very very nervous football before being saved by the final whistle
Folding my way into the big money!!!

Admitted to hospital with cardiac failure as Ireland labour to an injury time winner off Andy Kehoe's backside.

Expecting a low scoring game. I'd happily take a 1-0 and the 3 points. Hopefully Slovakia and Macedonia can do us a favour by winning their games.

2-0 Ireland. Early Andrews effort through a crowd of bodies and substitute Long to seal it late on.

I'll be mildly disgusted if they score and increase their overall tally (2?) against us.

In what is hopefully a good omen for tonight, I was looking in a shop window in central London this afternoon and I noticed that standing beside me, looking into the same shop, was Mick McCarthy and his wife. I said hi and that I was a big admirer. He was very charming and grateful, and we exchanged memories of his game in charge in Andorra.

I tell you what - the guy's as fit as a fiddle, very healthy looking. Wife was very pleased, a bit chuffed that Mick had a fan I think. I had already had 4 pints so I'm not sure I was as healthy looking as Mick.

Hope fully one of these will work. About 3/4 down the page.

Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

    That's the spirit!

Great to hear Mick is as sound in person as he comes across generally.

Well, maybe it was another tall, grey haired guy with a Yorkshire accent who remembered that he brought Gary Doherty on in place of David Connolly after only half an hour!
