Can't wait, have missed playing Pats over the last few years. We have played Bohs and Rovers a couple of times in league cups/pre-seasons but never Pats. Should be some atmosphere, hopefully a good crowd and a good game.

Well the last 2 seasons they've made Waterford travel to Sligo on a Friday night and Sligo travel to Dalymount on a Friday night when there the other 2 semis were involving teams around Dublin so good to see some common sense

Shels and Sligo wins please, followed by a title win for Sligo so we can go into said final knowing we're in Europe either way.

Don't think we'd need to win league for cup runners up to get into Europe, once we'd have qualified (top 3) then cup winner/runner-up is in Europe. AFAIK only goes to 4th place if cup winner and runner up already qualified.

Nope. Only goes to cup runner up if cup winner has qualified for champions league (which in Ireland means winning the league). If Cup winner finishes 2nd or 3rd in league, then 4th place get the last europa spot

I don't know if I've ever wanted two teams to lose a game so much before in my life. Think I'm swaying towards wanting Shels to lose it a bit more but its very close.

A draw will do me fine.

hmm, there is a flaw to my plan.

extra time and penalties, loads and loads of penalties. until both teams give up and give the cup to whoever won the other game

really though a draw would suit us, another game for Shels, more chance of injury and suspension.

though I don't really think it matters, cos I think we'll finish ahead of them regardless. Now if someone could put Monaghan back into the cup....

He's still bitter over the 1999 season. Its not that he doesn't want Pats winning the cup, its that he doesn't want us winning anything. We all have our grudges, no harm there

I've hated St. Pats since the 1998/99 season. I'm sure you know why, and if you don't well then just look up the 3rd last game of that season where we were robbed of the title
