Well I was close. Town won 2-1 by the way for anyone who missed that ground breaking news.

Sounds suspicious. A buddy of mine told me that they would be well beaten tonight and to bet big on it.

Sligo weren't 1/20 in the bookies for no reason. A hammering was always on the cards. Meant to back them to win to nil, luckily I didn't.

We're just ****e. Most of the players fought hard for 90 minutes but they're just not up to it at this level at all.

Felt sorry for Galway alright. I don't think they have one player who is up to it at this level. A couple who you would think could do better but seem to be caught up in the general malaise at the club. Hard to blame them to be honest.

I'd say Alan Murphy is the only player who's good enough. A few of the young lads like Gary Kelly and Stephen Walsh have the potential to be but aren't up to it yet.

What bookie actually devised the odds on Galway winning? Name and Shame.

In all seriousness I actually can't remember what the odds on Galway actually were. Presumably somewhere round 12/1 maybe? JC_GUFC is Paddy Power's resident expert. I highly doubt anyone took them up on it anyway.

Any chance the Shams fans could arrange a collection for us? We're falling a bit behind with the electricity bill.

On the game itself, first time I've ever seen the losing team time-wasting...and they were doing it after 2 or 3 down.

Yep 33/1 if you shopped hard.My Brother, who is a bookie was giving 40/1 to anyone that was willing to stick a score or more on it.He only got one taker,a guy who had lifted near 800 quid of a horse double.General price in high street was 20's.

If Derry and Cork are anything to go by, a year or two in the First Division might be exactly what the younger players need to make the step up.
