Club County Championships in Football & Hurling?

What's the latest state of play around the country?

The Kerry County Football Championship quarter-finals are coming up over the next two weekends. I always enjoy going to the club games.

    A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined.
First Division 2014: 7 first teams and a B team.
Opportunity lost for new clubs to join GLITW.

Well, just for comparison, Kilmacud Crokes won't play another game in Dublin until 15 October (possibly quarter, certainly no later), while the Cork county final is the following day. Several Ulster counties are already finished. A few other counties confirmed final for the next two weekends.

The All-Ireland series ruins the club championships. The All-Ireland is run over too long a period. The hurling in particular is ridiculous - even taking into account the fodder like Laois & Weatmeath, the championship should be well over by mid-August.
In Munster football, we were a month between games - that's stupid, considering the players don't get to play county championship. With TV3, RTE & TG4 all showing games there should a game a fortnight.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!

Well it depends on the county policies. During at least one of their All-Ireland runs, I recall Tyrone kept playing club championship in the weeks between inter-county matches.
