U21s versus Austria (9/8/11) and Hungary (1/9/11) Sligo Showgrounds

Anyone going to these games? It'll be interesting to see if any of the U19 set up have been promoted following their relative success.

Strange that no squad has been announced for the Austria game though.

This article on the Dundalk website suggests that the squad was announced and that Daniel Kearns and Keith Ward were put on the standby list.
The squad was announced before Kearns’ eye-catching performance against Celtic in the Dublin Super Cup at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
I've searched for an official squad list but no luck.

The match will be a dress rehearsal for the UEFA qualifier against Hungary at the same venue on Thursday the 1st September 2011.

Rhys Murphy said about a week ago that he got an Ireland U21 call up. His exact words were ''ireland u21 call up!''

Also Ally McCoist said yesterday while talking about his Rangers trial - "He's gone back home. He has an international and he is going to come up and join us again towards the end of next week."

It's a bit light in midfield, isn't it? Unless they decide to play Doran there

A 16 man squad seems light enough to begin with, especially with qualifiers coming up.

Yeah, I'd be dubious about the squad I posted, 16 isn't enough players. Hopefully there'll be an official release
from the FAI in the next couple of days.

According to their reply, nothing official has been released, but it should be shortly.

Similar to Ciaran Clark's international career. No problem with that - anyway is it official yet?

Has anyone heard for definite that he's declared. Nothing yet on LUFC.com

He's not in the u21 squad (as yet) even though as someone previously said he tweeted last week that he was - anyone know what's happened in the meantime?

And there I was thinking I knew a good bit about the underage players! A couple I don't think I've heard of before there. it'll be interesting to see how Kinger gets on with them. Good to see a bit of continuity through the ranks there with Gunning, Clifford, Towell and Brady.
Here they come! It’s the charge of the “Thanks” Brigade!
