Cheers. We're playing them in the next round of the Munster Junior Cup so expecting a tough game.

surely you would field some sort of a team even 4-5 b team players .. not a good sign if giving walkovers 3rd-4th game of the season.

think that might be a mistake that game was meant to be called off, clare league web site only has olympic down as playing 3 games which is what they had played before today

Good result for Newmarket yesterday. Any reports on the game? They are in a very strong position for the league and I cant see anyone stopping them!

Avenue had best of the first half but the Newmarket defence and keeper were excellent throughout.
it was a good performance all round.
Enda scored to put us 1 up.
Paudie made a great clearance off the line at 1 nil.
Horse saw red, he will pass all day but don't ask him to tackle
A good battling performance after going down to 10 men.
Docca then scored from a volley from about 90 yards.

Overall a good game handled well by Padraig Sutton, on another day Avenue could have been 2 up at half time.

A good 3 points, but that is all it was, 3 more points, still alot of football to be played but it was nice to win against such a good footballing side.

Now Davy!!!, I like to give credit when it is due, Avenue are a very good footballing side, anyone that knows anything about football would recognise that.

    Cup draw online now:

Avenue and Tulla the pick of the matches from the draw although Newmarket and Shannon Olympic could be tight.

A 90 yard volley. It must have been some strike!!

Can you post it here thanks, it isn't showing up for me here.
The volley has been revised at 88 yards, the best and craziest goal I have ever seen.

Did anyone hear what went on after the Lifford Burren game on Sunday? There's nothing about it in The Clare People. Also I see Alex got sent off for Avenue at the weekend, does this mean he won't be getting paid this week?

Ennis Town Rock play in Lees Road which is in Ennis and is towards the Drumcliff cemetery. If coming from Cork take the first exit for Ennis and follow signs for Lahinch/Ennistymon. You come to the last roundabout on the Ennis bypass and take a right for town centre. About 100 yards after that you take a left signposted for Lees Rd. Lees Rd is about 500 yards out that road on the left.
