Thats, two not very funny jokes!!!. Both are VERY average at best and should have slipped down towards our position by now!!. Nobody can say that beating Honduras and Greneda can help ye jump 2 places (Competitive game or not!!)

As far as I know, friendlies don't contribute to this, so our last games that had an effect were the 1-1 draw at home to Russia and the loss to the Swiss, we haven't had a chance to build points so we wee always going to drop a little.
The teams above us have been involved in WC qualifiers and I guess points are awarded for winning, regardless of the opposition.
In any event, this ranking pops up every now and again, and it's a load of toss

They actually do. We gained about 5 points from our 4 end of season friendlies.

We go through this every month. Everyone knows these rankings are fluff.

As for the US, World Cup qualifying has already started for CONCACAF. the US beat mighty Greneda to qualify for the next round. Certainly not number 7 but top 15 or so. The Mexicans shouldnt be as high either. The US have a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 1 lose against El Tri since 2000 with Mexico being able to score only 1 goal in those 8 meetings.

Top 10? Then based on your logic, the Swiss and Ruskies should be 1 & 2. And friendlies are just a minor percentage of the points.

As for England? Whether you like them or not, they were playing the quarter finals of the Euros while we spent our June watch TV and supporting the likes of Greece.
