Park, Castleisland and Dingle all recieved 3 points as they had all played Tralee Celtic once and had all beaten them. So in theory all the team recieved 6 points. The Report which stated your points distribution was in the weeks news paper was totally incorrect as are the League Tables for that matter in all Local Paper's and also on the Kerry District league web page. As for Tralee Dynamos entering Premier A , I believe it was their decision to drop down to the division they are in at the moment and it will be decided by a vote off all clubs to allow them to jump 2 divisions ahead off teams who are ahead off them at the mment.
Surely Dynamos will have a team in the Kerry Premier next season. It could be a good thing for the KDL that Dynamos lost out in LOI football as surely they will make the league more competitive. Since they are gone the standards have dropped so it can only be good for the league if they return. Im sure the top Kerry teams would love them back. lets not punish them for trying to play at a higher level.. Remember when they returned from the Munster Senior League with Kilarney Celtic a while back, the league improved so much after that.

I really dont agree with you that standards have dropped in the KDL since Tralee Dynamos left the league and I believe that teams like Killarney Celtic, St BrendanS Park , Castleisland wouldnt agree either. And as for it being competitive , I think this year proves it is with anyone off 5 teams still have a chance off getting into the league final. Killarney Celtic are the current Munster Champions Cup holders, Castleisland reached the last 16 of the FAI Junior Cup last season as did Dingle Bay Rovers this season while St Brendans Park reached the 1/4 final off the Munster Junior Cup this season. Along with this the Oscar Traynor team have reached the final this year after failing at the semi-final stage last year. I will not dispute that Tralee Dynamos have some fantastic players but its not the league who has punished them to play in Division 1B, It was at the request off Tralee Dynamos that they be droped to this division as they team they left in the Kerry league found it too hard to compete in the higher division's. At The moment they are going to Gain Promotion to division 1A but when You look at there cup runs in kerry they have crasshed out twice in the first round. Firstly to St Brendans Park off the Premier Division in the Munster Junior Cup and then the Ballonagh Fc (From division 2A) in The Greyhound bar Cup . I know that they are the obious choice to replace Tralee celtic in the Premier A division but i dont see teams in higher divisions than Dynamos at the moment agreeing to it easily.. Only time will tell.

Aldo, are you having a laugh?

The last few years since Dynamos left has been a shambles. This year has improved somewhat but there Celtic really only have the Park to worry about and going by recent form they will have no problems there. There is little or no competition!

You go on about the pretty meaningless "munster champions cup". There are only 2 junior competitions that matter - FAI junior and the MJC where Celtic and other kerry sides fared badly in both of those.

You also pointed out that Dynamos lost in two cups - did you see the teams they fielded? The teams are only a shadow of the team they fielded in the a championship. If Dynamos were left back into the premier they would be much stronger...

The KDL needs the biggest kerry junior club back in kerry football.

Lads is it me or does anyone else not find it stupid that there is a fixture list in kerry on sunday, the same day as there oscar traynor team are playing in an all ireland final, in my eyes that is ridicolus. What message does that send out to the players playing in the final.kerry should be promoting this game trying to get as much support in dublin, best of luck to kerry.

I agree with you Southern kid that this game should be supported more, but i have been told teams were asked did they want matches or did they want to travel to dublin for the game and most didnt want to make the long journey. The semi final was in Tralee and only 60 or 70 supporters came to cheer on the team that day and no matches were fixed for the same time as the match was being played. Alot off the clubs in kerry dont ever seem to support the county team and it has been this way for a very long time and I personally cant see this ever changing. The Kerry team this year only consists off players from 7 clubs and none off these clubs hae fixtures this week.
