Bohs Game- Beaten by Hunt and Crowe

I'm glad I didn't get the names mixed up.

Can whoever was at the game provide a good match report. From what I've read - including comment on the Bohs forum - the introduciton of Hunt and Crowe made all the difference last night. I see Timmy Lynch went off (we were down to nine men when they scored their second goal?) - is he injured? If so we really are jinxed this season.

Was it the usual case of heads dropping after the goal or were we just caught chasing the game?

Better team in the first half Hartnett finished excellently and a great delivery from Ross.

We also hit the post and were not troubled until just before the break when Jimmy made a great save.

Hunt and Crowe cam eon after the break - Hunt did control midfield where we had dominated and we were pushed back. We were opened up for the equaliser.

2nd goal was terrible refereeing and real bad luck - 2 players down due to a clash of heads - referee ran past them - ball went into the box and Timmy was injured making a great tackle. Ball cleared then referee stopped play - MicK aherne off for a few minutes concussed an dTimmy stretchered off - looked bad - Bohs won a corner and CP didn't come back and they scored v 9 men. All uphill after thatc - heads didn't really drop - Rossie brought a great save from their keeper but we were picked off for 2 further goals.

Result was not a true reflection on the game - great performance and great character. Bohs fans were suitably impressed and wished their own prima donnas had similar guts - only some do.

Referees are supposed to be respinsible for the safety of the players yet left Mick aherne almost out cold and a Bohs player down with head injuries and this led to Timmy being injured as well.
