It was a bit of a shock that of all the LOI clubs, Shamrock Rovers, with their dismal record in the European cup, are the ones to break into the group stages of a euro competition and grab all of the Euro millions.
Regardless, I'll cheer them on and worry about the consequences later.

Aston Villa seem to reckon Enda Stephens might be.

only caught the last 15 mins, during that spell they looked the match of rubin and created several half chances. although the commentaters were saying they had been outclassed over the whole game. defo didn't let the league down , fair play

stevens looks good from what ive seen of him, hopefully he'll be straight into the villa team in jan

Kazan took the foot off the pedal in the last 20 when they were 3-0 up.

Killer might have impressed a few scouts. Maybe.

I thought Rovers did reasonably well last night. Certainly performed better than the home game against Copenhagen and created alot more chances. The real difference between the two teams was finishing. Kazan took each of their goals very well, especially the second and third. Rovers had their fair share of good chances, but they were so hurried in taking them, often snatching at the chance. Perhaps this is experience/difference in skill levels. But if they had been that little bit more assured in front of goal they probably would have scored one if not two. Kazan better team no doubt and Rovers not disgraced. They owe us nothing after getting this far. I just hope they can build on this and put in good performances (and maybe pick up a point or 2) in all games.

I know this is a new experience but the FAI havent exactly helped them either. Rovers had two tough games against Silgo on Friday and Pats on Mon night in advance of this game, hardly ideal preparation.

The new guy, Ricketts (ex Spurs) that they bought at the final day of the transfer window. Early days I know but have seen him in a few games now and hasnt really impressed.
