Shamrock Rovers should finish the stadium around both goals and bring the capacity up. It looks like they will get 1 or 2 games big games for the aviva
Tallaght Stadium for all games
RDS for all games
Aviva Stadium for all games
RDS for the Spurs game, Tallaght for the rest
Aviva Stadium for the Spurs game, RDS for the rest

I'm a Spurs fan so that would be a dream match for me but i think they'd be better off staying in Tallaght but that doesn't sound possible, I don't like the RDS it's awful run down and any excuse to go to the aviva
RDS all the way, but it depends on the draw. A couple of decent sides in there, Russian teams will guarantee 1-1,500 fans (most of them living locally) and you've got Loko and Rubin in there. English sides will add 4-6,000 to a gate.
And look at it from a clever marketing point of view - they'll take care of 6,000 tickets easily from the Rovers side alone, then sell another 6,000 in a block for 3 matches, and the rest will be away fans and walk ups. They will move 18,000 tickets for 3 matches handily. Stay away from the Aviva, or it'll be another Carling Cup if the team start losing!
you are so bitter chucky
I suspect that you are right on the mark here. Obviously Rovers will weigh up the costs of all three options (Aviva, RDS and Tallaght with upgrade work) versus the potential returns. The draw will obviously make things clearer, but at this point the RDS is the most likely option from a financial perspective.

Spurs fan here as well as a Rovers season ticket holder and fan since 1990. Delighted with the draw no question I'll be supporting Rovers over spurs
So it's 2 shots at the RDS and PAOK at Tallaght (if they can manage to bring it up to standard). Spurs will fill the RDS, Rubin will get 1-1,500 "away" fans, and played early means the floating fans will turn out. It's a shame our media would generally be quite ignorant of clubs like Rubin or even Paok, Rubin have been outstanding the last few years and it's only since big, big money has come into the hands of well run clubs that they've fallen back. Zenit and Anzhi are going to dominate if they keep at what they're at, but for now, Rovers can shock them (Rubin).

competition at one and the same ground. Matches may be played either at
the ground of the home club or at another ground in the same or another city

administration and/or the UEFA disciplinary bodies, in the territory of another
UEFA member association for reasons of safety or as a result of a
disciplinary measure. In principle, venues are approved only if direct

acceptable distance of the venue, in the country of the club concerned. If the
match is being played in another city or country, the venue is subject to the
approval of the UEFA administration.
Thanks eekers, I remember my colleagues going through this last year and having to settle on a 2nd division ground if they made the group. So it makes sense to have the RDS for all 3. The big shocker in crowd will be PAOK.
Just said it in the other thread but the presenters on Sky Sports News just said games will be in Landsdowne.
