Most non-league teams are only back training over the last week or two. Its not really fair to ask them to play against professional/semi-pro teams so early on in their season. But thats the FAI for you

Eh, Rovers and Drums was the big derby back in the day. Bohs weren't mapped back then.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

A couple of tasty ties jump out there; the Louth derby and, from a personal perspective, Athlone v Tullamore should be good occasions.

Tough. You can hardly slag off the FAI for that. In any event these teams finished their season a month ago, had the first round of this competition and knew they were in this draw so if they are only starting totrain for it now then that's their look out. Why don't the junior, intermediate leagues switch to the summer as well.
