Having lost their last five eircom First Division matches, Cobh Ramblers will be looking to end that losing streak, but they face a side in form at St Colman’s Park on Saturday night as Galway United are unbeaten in their last five. Kick off 7.45pm.

Ramblers have dropped rapidly down the table in recent weeks and manager Dave Hill will be looking to put a halt to that losing streak as soon as possible.

Cobh are now third from bottom in the table and just two points off the re-election zone with nearly half the season played as Monaghan and Limerick are the only sides beneath them.

Galway have been in excellent form recently with three wins and two draws in their last five matches with their last game seeing them hold league leaders UCD to a 1-1 draw thanks to a late goal from French star Damien Dupay.

United manager Tony Mannion will be forced to plan without the injured Derek O’Brien who is still out with a hamstring injury, but can call on Mixie Harty as he returns after a one-match suspension.

When the sides met at Terryland Park earlier in the season, it finished all square and Hill would be pleased with a similar result, even though they have home advantage.
