At the moment reports sujest that John O'Flynn and Kevin Doyle are the only doubts ahead of saturdays match. Joe Gamble may yet play a part at some stage if he can prove his fitness.
The officials come from france according to UEFA.Com
What would be a good score to take back to turners cross for the second leg?
I would again be confident of nicking an away goal.

1-1 would even be a good result, could be tight so an away goal will be very important. Could Cork be the 1st irish team to go past 2 rounds in europe since Rovers a long time ago. Jesus you would even be more unberable than you are now![]()
any word yet on when / where tickets will be available for the game saturday? i reckon it might end up a nil all draw, nijmegen might be content to keep it tight seeing as it'll be there first competitive fixture of the season. that shouldn't do city though, i think these days its important to try and get an away goal. as long as the performance is as good as against malmo last week, we won't be able to complain anyway.
The malmo success has gone to our heads I think. I hope the team aren't as cocky as our fans!
One goal defeat would be good result.

Draw would be superb
Win would be brilliant

the gorund. Tickets for the home leg will be available by tomorrow. Thank

I'd be confident of getting a draw over there....C'mon City!
i'd be a little wary, the Dutch league is a higher standard than the Swedish, and ours.
I'm hoping lack of match practice goes against them to be honest.
Cork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007.
more news, barretto (paraguay captain) is out and they've signed 'denneboom', a striker
Good result is one that has us scoring. Nijmegen will probably improve in 2nd leg with extra game & training behind them.
Hard to think that Nijmegen can beat Malmo experience.
think he's taking the paraguayan team to the olympics, good news for us, reported to be very handyOriginally Posted by GavinZac

When did they sign him? AFAIK only players who were registered with the club at the start of the tournement (1st June I think was the cut off date) can be included in their squad. It's for this reason that Joe Gamble isn't eligible for the compitition even though he travelled with the squad this morning.Originally Posted by GavinZac

I thought Gamble was eligible![]()

He only became a city player today 1st of July when his previous contract expired I think.

doesnt it work on league registration? he is league registered for us
Tickets for the game on Saturday will be on sale from the ground at 17.30 and the ground itself will be open from 18.30
The tickets are €10 so if anyone from the club tries to sell ya a ticket for €20 don't buy it!!!!![]()
be surprised if makes much difference as doubt he match fit yet?Originally Posted by xtreme rebel

Did you see who wrote that article in the Echo? Its was everybodies favourite pretend journalist back from his golfing holiday in Portugal (since Chelsea were knocked out). When was the last time you believed anything he wrote.
Spillane probably saw Gamble on the plane, rolled his magic dice and wrote the article.
Then again it could be Dolan feeding him mis-information so that the Nijmegen boys will get confused.

Apparently Gamble wasn't registered before the deadline for European so is not eligible to play against Nijmegen
