For years every other clubs fans could see it was sustainable at Shels, but shels fans would never accept it. To be fair, since then other fans fell into the same trap so maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but there's no moral high ground for shels fans.

Fans never want to worry about balance sheets when the good times are rolling. We've seen that with others as you've said, and our good times really were good times. Some class European nights and so close to actual success in Europe. I don't think Shels are taking the high moral ground, I think it just sticks in the throat how Bohs have been treated compared to us being dumped on his arse three days after winning the league.

Ballybough End in Tolka is currently closed - as is part of the Riverside.

Even without improvements in these areas, there is no problem in accommodating the current numbers of travelling fans in the Premier Division.

And Yes, for any games which necessitated the opening of the Riverside this season, a hot food outlet was provided for visiting fans.

I hope you are been sarcastic. That is exactly what the League does not need.

Do explain.Have heard this whining from a small element of Shels fans for years yet none can tell me what rules Bohs broke. The fact is Bohs offered Shels a way out - rent Dalyer-which would have saved them but Ollie was so hell bent on shafting us (buying half of Dalymount for a small amount) that he let Shels go down the toilet instead.None of the sychophants at Tolka had the guts to shout "stop" and the fans cheered all the way.
Bohs members have a lot to answer for the state we are in but they are radicals compared to the "head in the sand" brigade at Tolka.

Players were payed up (or bought out) - hardly only club to have deferred payments. Never broke 65% rule according to FAI (no matter how often this myth is regurgitated it wont alter that simple fact) much the same as Shels "won" the League when Pats finished top and Shels were never proven to be making under the table cash payments to players.

Would like to see Shels up, few more derbies. I've only been to two of the opened stands in Tolka but it seems that there's no unrestricted view of the game to be had.

Good to see Shels get promoted, though it'll be tight. I don't know why, but I have a sinking feeling that Monaghan will make a burst, get promoted and their manager get carried back on the shoulders of grateful fans to Bohs, or Rovers. Wouldn't it be a perfect end to the perfect story? With Pete rejoining his former gaffer!

You woulda thought some people would have learned after ColinScanlonGate

I think the first division teams have been giving Shels too much respect this season, they're as good as any PD side offensively but their defence have looked frightenly fragile on the rare occasion the opposition has a go at them. Going 1-0 down so early looks like it gave Cork a much needed shot in the arm to expose Shels' vulnerabilities.

Still think Shels, Cork and Limerick will go up. Shels are going to have to put a good chunk of change into repairing the Riverside stand in Tolka which will eat into their budget to compete, if they do indeed crawl out of the graveyard
The Leinster Senior League needs a strong Bohemians

    Aaaaaaaaahhhhh hahahahahahahahahaha.

Seriously though, great night. Shels were very dangerous first half and could have had 2 or 3. Goals came at the right time for city in the first half and they totally bossed the second and they could have had more than 4. Shels looked weak from corners and their keeper is poor. Cummins dominated their centre half (no. 4) so much that he was hauled ashore.

    Great night.

Totally agree with this. We matched them up in Tolka Park but the team and management absolutely bottled it in Jackman Park going 5 at the back which basically told Shels they where better than us because we where missing one key player in defense. I've never believed in showing any team respect on the pitch because of their league position. Respect should only be shown after a game if you go out to win and are well beaten by the better team.
