Lawrie Sanchez's side will face the Swiss in Zurich in what will be their last game before playing Poland in the opening World Cup game on 4 September.

Northern Ireland are unbeaten in their last five while Switzerland will be aiming to pick themselves up after taking just one point at Euro 2004.

The Swiss are in the same World Cup group as the Republic of Ireland.

Northern Ireland's last game with Switzerland was in April 1998 when, in Lawrie McMenemy's second game as manager, Darren Patterson scored in the 1-0 friendly win at Windsor Park.

Northern Ireland and Switzerland have also arranged an Under-21 fixture in Belfast.
