Seagulls take on Blackburn in August

Bray Wanderers have announced that they will play Blackburn Rovers in August. The game will take place on Saturday 7 August in the Carlisle Grounds.

This will be a return visit for Graham Souness' side: they were narrow 3-2 winners in Bray last year.

Details of ticket outlets and prices will be announced shortly.

Wanderers will now play their Eircom League First Division game against Dundalk at the Carlisle Grounds on Thursday 5 August.

Both the Blackburn Rovers and Dundalk games will kick-off at 7.45pm.

Hopefully they'll put on a better show than they did against Everton earlier this year. There was a great crowd at last years BB game, hopefully if they put on a good show we might get a few extra at the regular home games.

Yeah, but in fairness, 4 nil flattered Everton ! Bray played pretty well that night, all 4 goals came from silly defensive mistakes. These games are great money makers for the club and the more the better !

As Devo said a few weeks back on East Coast Radio, if we want to become one of the bigger clubs in the eL we need to have home gates for around 2500-3000 + (we only get these gates for big cup games at present), and with being the only senior team in Wicklow, along with south Dublin there should be no reason why we cant be. Our big problem is The Carlisle ! we need to get it fully refurbished, i reckon once we get this sone a lot more people will start to turn up. We also need to get the Club House built, more extra revenue for the club, so if ya know a JP McManus/Abramovhoich type person let us know
