Not a chance of Limerick going up with Pat Scully in charge.
Biggest cheer of the night was when Sean O Connor was taken off.
Always said Scully was a waster
First mistake I've seen Dean Delaney make gave Salthill a 0-1 lead. (I guess the sun was in his eyes...) After that it was predictable stuff. The fourth goal was top class - great series of one touch passes to put Mulhall through who buried it.
We weren't particularly good tonight. The goal we conceded was a bit shocking and then I thought we were really lucky to get the free for the equaliser. Salthill held their own for the first half but the second half was quite comfortable once we took the lead. Keeping the 10 point gap was the main thing though and we managed that so happy days.
Have just spent the evening at Limerick vs Monaghan and it was a **** poor game. Limerick were atrocious and this formation that Scully plays 4-3-3 or whatever it is doesn't suit his players at all. Some very good Limerick players on the sideline (not injured)as well according to the hardcore down here.
Great crowd as well due to all kids attending summer camps being invited for the game but would doubt many will return after that.
Big gang of Yankee doodles walked in to the game tonight. Anyone know what that was about?
Dundalk drew 0-0 in Derry. Nobody seems to have known it was on.

Longford v City updates here
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Seems that the reported hordes of stone throwers and bus brickers were also in the dark about the fresh targets visiting the Brandywell.
After being alerted by the civic minded press release by those gentle folk in one of the Hoops' Supporters Clubs, I came fully prepared with reinforced glass in my vehicle, a gleaming new Stab Vest and copious supplies of anti-thug pepper spray.
Much to my chagrin I only encountered the usual welcoming and good natured Derry fans interested in the football and banter and craic.
Dammit - Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
