Hamer was their first choice. I can't imagine Henderson jumped down a division to play number two and I can't imagine Charlton would be quick to give a three year deal to someone who is likely to be one of their top earners (on the basis of his contract with West Ham).
Wiki tells me the only other keeper on their books is Nick Pope who has 1 League appearance and finished off last season on loan in League Two with York City.
To have an exploratory operation tomorrow after missing the last couple of months with a shoulder problem: http://www.charlton.vitalfootball.co...e.asp?a=382064
Pity as he was having a great season up to the injury. Its a little bit worrying as he seems to be picking up a lot of injuries.
Always look on the bright side of life
Just saved a penalty to keep things scoreless at Millwall, though Charlton are down to 10 men now. David Forde and Shaun Williams start for Millwall with Alan Dunne on the bench.
Great to see him performing well after those earlier season injury worries. I took a moment to remember how promising his uncle Wayne looked back in 2006/2007 when covering for Shay Given. That games against the Czechs that we drew 1-1 stands out. Serious back injury did for him.
A past contestant on the Apprentice was/is married to him though. She was a cracker, if that's any consolation.

Hopefully he can nail down the number one spot at Forest and keep his career moving forward
Has a hip injury.
Suffers serious achilles injury in the defeat by Norwich http://www.nottinghampost.com/stephe...ail/story.html Shame for him.
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.

Catches a break for once - after being released by Forest, gets a one-year deal at Crystal Palace - likely to be third choice behind Wayne Hennessy and Vicente Guaita - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48896600
Grand move at that age of his career. Hennessy and Guiata are both older than him so if he can prove his ability then he has a shot at a second coming, if not at Palace then next season at another club arising from appearances there. Sounds like Dean Kiely facilitated the move.
