Watched this game and I must say it was very entertaining .. Pike 1 up through a pen 5 mins before h/t... Never a pen in my eyes. Then Alan Barry got sent off 2 mins later.. Stupid tackle.. Boro came out 2nd half and it looked like they they were asleep.centre mid Sean Kelly then received an awful tackle from yellow Lyons.. Sickening challenge.. Ambulance called and 20 min delay.. Lyons shown a straight red.. Boro then started committing lads forward but were caught again for another pen crazy challenge.. 2-0.. This was then boro's best period in the game and the got 1 back through a great Colbert strike.. Pike caught them on the break with 5 to go to seal it.. Pike thoroughly deserved it.. In my opinion..

    Star 2-4 Regional

Star went ahead early doors through Dale Mc and played well for the opening 30mins also hitting the woodwork and having 3 one on ones all with no luck, Regional then equalized through a stunning volley from 30yards by Nash. 1-1 HT.

Regional came out flying in the second half and tacked on 2 without reply to go 3-1 up with 20mins to go, but the last 20mins was all Star where they hit the woodwork again and had a penalty appeal turned down but then scored through Hannon on 75mins to make it 2-3, then with 5 or so mins to go Star had their striker one on one with the Regional keeper, with no other player within 15yards of them but the Regional keeper guessed the right way, and with Star pushing forward for the equalizer, Regional scored to finish the game off.

Overall, the first half was even enough, Regional dominated the start of the second half until 70mins then it was all Star from then, but going on chances alone, any genuine fan at the game would admit that Star could and probably should have won the game.

Corbally 3-4 wembley.Corbally took the lead on 3mins when fergal o Connell got on end of a dunworth cross to make it 1nil.wembley equalised on 35mins when mc cormack scored from a penalty that was a perfect tackle where the ball was clearly got by Corbally defender. O Connell made it 2.1 minutes later with a great individual goal from o Connell who went on a run from halfway beating 4 players and striking low into corner.wembley equalised 5mins in second half from a Brian finnegan shot outside box after a poor clearance from a corner.Corbally made it 3-2 on 55mins when Ian dunworth scored a lovely volley from edge of box.wembley equalised on 80mins through a John fitzgerald header from a corner and got the winner on 88mins.3 points down the drain for us today.a game we threw away.story of our season.

Boro never got going this morning, thought kavanagh was stand out player. In fairness to yellow, was a bad tackle but did make effort to win ball. Two sendings off at the finish were silly, probably deserved but a lot of refs would have settled for two yellows. Pike will be without barry, judge, kelly n tierney on thursday in bateman. Could be another twist yet!

Just a quick question, were the Boro's 2 sending off's straight red's?! If so there is a good chance Harkin and Yellow would miss the MJC game, big loss if so.

hopefully that chap has a speedy recovery...
not like yellow to behave like what posters are saying here re-tackle
spoke to a couple of people who attended the match and they said that the tackle looked bad ,but felt he made an attempt to make the ball

plenty effort from both sides,no quality though.first pen very harsh ref got it wrong imo, second one was correct decision.pike better team in the first half, second half a non event due to kellys injury.sending offs near the end another poor decision but both barrys and lyons were certain reds.

Forgot about boris, think kavanagh is playing thurs. Still without the five players who started sundays game balla will fancy their chances especially in bateman. Outside maloney n davey ryan pikes bench wouldnt be the strongest
