Agreed players were superb - we need to sign some more though -
Surely the spirit these lads have shown both last night and against harps on friday is nothing short of heroic.Wasn't at harps on friday, but I was talking to a few of the lads and they performed miraculously under the circumstances.
Last night, to concede 2 early goals and fight back like they did was amazing, and ranks as good a performance by a limerick side as there has been in a long time. Bray weren't able to handle the pressure they were put under, and if we didn't have a goalkeeper as a striker sent off with 15mins to go, anything might have happened. Their keeper saved a poorly taken Mernagh spot kick. All this with 11 players.Take a bow all of ye!!

How are ye looking for Saturday night lads. Will anyone be back available to replace Fyffe? If it's any consolation, I don't think we have any fits centre halves, along with other injuries and suspensions!
Similar to last season when we beat ye two nil, both of us with depleted squads. But look at what ye did after that!

CP O'Brien was suspended so he will be starting up front I presume. He will enjoy playing against makeshift centre halves. I think O'Mahoney and Thomas Hughes may also be back (?) so hopefully a repeat of last night will not be needed.

played in a junior match about 10 years ago where a team called Hospital-Herbertstown turned up with 8 players. We still only drew with the bastrads.....I doubt it has ever happened in Eircom League history...
Well done Joe Soap for giving a positive vibe to your players when the club is on the ropes. I had no first hand experience of the First Division until this year but have been at a match a week this season. I have enjoyed skimming through the comments of each clubs supporters and really admire the True Blue (regardless of your colour jersey) supporters who turn up every week and keep their respective flags flying. At the moment Limerick, Kilkenny, Monaghan and Athlone are in the doldrums but all is not roses in Cobh or Sligo either. When you see crowds of 100 at matches you wonder how the hell committee members keep the show on the road (or indeed why they bother with the abuse dished out to them).
It must be hell for the players as well when things are going badly on the pitch. I do not subscribe to the view that the players don't care. The majority I have seen are busrting themselves to turn things around for their clubs. More positive remarks like Joe Soaps relayed to the players would I am sure be appreciated whichever club they are with.
