I have to say i am stunned at the result so far.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

I reckon SvD has the better goalkeeper, the better defence and the better strikeforce. RK does swing the midfield for Murfinator but I don't think its enough in this situation (the mistaken statement that Clinton Morrison is 6 foot tall was also a mark against - i love Clinton but he's only 5'10").

John Byrne is also the oldest player on Murf's team - there were so many better options from the 60s, 70s and 80s than the 90s and 00s players he selected.

For my own critique I think my side bar the strikeforce is substantially strong. A back- 4 consisting of 2 champions league winners and a surprising threat of set piece goals boasting a collective 21 goals between them. An odd boast but Harte's set pieces and the Dunne/JOS combo helps overcome the striking shortfall somewhat. Speaking of overcoming shortfalls Kilbane was deliberately drafted to assist and compliment Harte on that flank, I see them attacking and defending as a unit. Keith O Neill and Andy Reid are the creativity of the side, two wonderful technical players both stifled by injury but their quality on a given game could not be questioned. Morrison and Byrne have decent strikerates, it certainly can't compete with a partnership of Robbie Keane + 1 but a goal threat across the board is preferable to one man.

    Still in doubt? How about...

Both teams are flawed, svd's central midfield is weak while murf's attack is poor. The defenses are pretty much equal. I think the difference maker though is Robbie Keane.
