    Blackstone 1 v 2 Cathedral

Disapointed to exit the AOH after 2 last 8s in 3 years. We started very well and had a one on one and hit the crossbar inside a few minutes. Went one up after 20, but kind of lost our momentum as both strikers went down injured and spent time on the sidelines as we tried to keep them on. Cathedral played well and had the lions share of possession without getting too many chances. They equalised on 78 from a ping pong corner and scored the winner from the spot with the 10 minutes up in the second period of extra time. I was disapointed in the official - this is not any excuse. When both teams complain about the official, it sends its own message. An older official who uses the schoolteacher approach that does not work in modern football.

Kinsale have plenty of good players (including Derek McCarthy).
The leagues we have won have always been a team effort, with plenty of quality players playing their part.

St. John Boscos 0 Coachford 3

Delighted to be in the pot for the next round after overcoming a potential banana skin, bosco's was always a hard place to go and get a result. The pitch was pretty good and we were up 3 at half time could have been more but we ld have bitten your hand off if offered that before the match. Match kind of pettered out in the second half.
Alot of good teams gone already, but alot left at the same time, i ld imagine Park, Pearse, Kanturk Kinsale, Knockavilla, Killumney, Springfield and ourselves would prefer to avoid each other in the next round.

Second half was all one-way traffic!, scoring four more goals.

High scoring game for Kilreen on pitch next to us (7-0!, clean sheet with their GK sent off aswell!) - any report on this game K.C.?

Any further match reports lads, anything from Wilton, Carrigtwohill, Castelview, Blackstone & Blarney St camps on there (shock!?!) cup exits?

Was expecting a tough game looking at their position in the leage but was like a training session. Was very disapointed with them to be honest, they were very poor. A couple of fast early goals in second half put the game to bed. We lost our keeper with 20 to go and 6 nil up. Came out for one on one, striker shot past him as he slipped and ball hit his hand outside the box. Looked like a super save but was totally accidental, had to go though. Still with 10 men we scored another one. Away to Glenvale Sunday morning, expecting a much tougher and closer game.

Your a great team if other teams hoof the ball on top of your centre backs. Otherwise not up too much..

Out of line a bit there - Or else you are saying every team in the AUL for the last 10 years just hoof the ball as Kinsale have been the dominant AUL side on and off for quite a while. The have some excellent individuals but I think Kinsale are proof that the sum can be greater than the individual parts...

Spoken like someone with a lot of medals in his back pocket??
Or have you played with teams that have given Kinsale a good spanking down the years??

Who are you involved with by the way, lawdyboy??
So that we can all bow the knee to your superior football knowledge/ability

People can talk about styles of play all day and all night.
The best teams are those that win the most games and thus collect the most points.

The different styles of play that Kinsale have adopted over the years has meant that when the points are added up,
they are never far away from the medals.

For those too young to remember, Kinsale have won 6 of the last 9 Premier titles (with 2 Rups thrown in).

If i were you shilts i would nt be taking much notice of anyone s opinion, with the number of leagues your team has won. Are you a playing member of that team as a matter of interest.

    I fall into the
"break glass in case of emergency"
    bracket at this stage

But while I remain available for selection, I don't get too many calls haha
