IMO both are excellent refs, particularly the one that reffed that nite vs Leeside. Thats why his decision amazed me!, and his response when asked by Springfield players regarding so called foul. He wouldnt answer when asked what foul had taken place and where it occurred. Also when asked who/which Springerfield player committed foul he couldnt identify the culprit.
There were only 2 Springers players around the Leeside player when he clumsily tripped over - but ref couldnt say which one committed foul. My opinion 'he bottled it' - perhaps as i said earlier 'home adv / home support'.

Regarding other Referee - what ye are tryin to imply is that we always win we have this ref.
Cant remember exact scores/results of any games last season that he officiated at, but do know he was down to ref two of our games that couldnt go ahead coz of the state of both pitches(grass length)!. - Something that is totally outta the hand of the Referee and Springfield.

Finally regarding pitch - not knocking anybody who looks after clubs pitches, we all know the time and effort that goes into preparing pitches - but thought surface in Monard was poor(prob to do more with weather and hard surface) - but one of Blarney players commented on how bad pitch was during the game and that someone could get an injury fairly easily on it!.
Still think Blarney were too direct and against Footballing sides like Wilton, Leeside & Kinsale, may get out played footballing-wise.
    My opinion!

Fair point offside. I actually heard today that even though the sky has been grey for 3 months, it has been a very dry summer. Hopefully the rain waits until we are on all weather, but pitches could do with it.

The ref in the Leeside game is the best around in my opinion - must have gotten one wrong.

How did Mossie form translate for your club last year? Was the Mossie a good indicator for the season ahead?
Just remember, every kick makes me stronger and more determined. Indians always come back!

Lads with regards to Monard pitch. Watch ourselves play there about 2 weeks ago against Rockmount and it was in great nick then.

Some interesting ones there - Kinsale 1st win happens to be against one of their biggest rivals for the title! Pearse, Blarney St & Springfield continue their good form. Both our clubs progressed in their respective divisional cups with good away wins and Douglas Hall have continued their impressive start to the season - the only team not to have dropped points in AUL 1A.
”That should be NO problem for the defence – OH NOOOO!!”

Saw Blarney Street and Leeside on Saturday. Not much between the teams to be honest. Blarney Street went one up after a few minutes, a bad mistake by the Leeside keeper from a free kick. They went two up with from a penalty after a handball to lead 2-0 at halftime. Gettings had about two or three headers which he nearly scored from and also had another chance but Babbsy got in a great tackle to block the shot.

Second half Leeside had most of the ball and made it 2-1 from an og. They had pleanty of ball and created a few chances but nothing clear cut. Blarney Street were content to play on the break. Overall not much between them, lot of good fottballers on both sides.

Leeside and Springfield both finished on level points with identical goals for and against. Waiting to hear if it will be judged on the head to head result or if its going to go to a play-off.

Springfield vs Leeds, Sunday 4th Sept. Mossie Linane Cup

Missed majority of 1st half, but did arrive as Springers were awarded a peno(35mins). They missed the peno-keeper saved it.
Leeds scored, by a Springfield own goal. Springers now needed 3goals to advance from group!.
Managed to claw back 2goals to win us the game and get the3pts!.
This result left us level on pts, goals for, goals against & goal diff with Leeside.

@boo - I believe there is an Aul delegate meeting tomor nite and there will be aflick of a coin to decide!, . . .
who has home adv in a play -off!.

@horse - We didnt compete in Mossie last Season as we were in first div!(Mossie is for Prem & Prem A clubs), on this Season's performance - very happy with our displays & performances vs Leeside(disappointed not to have taken a point here!) & Blarney.
Happy with defeating our closest rivals from last Season-Carrig and with win vs Leeds(disappointed not to have won by the 2goals required to advance in Cup).

Onto playoff vs Leeside to decide who progresses.
Home next Sunday to Bohs in first League game!.

    *REVISION*

Now hearing that AUL are sending Leeside through from our Mossie Linane Group - on head2head basis.

Y would they request a member of our club & Leeside's to view flip of a coin(to detemine Home Adv in playoff) at an AUL meeting, and then decide the other option.
Have a few theories myself - would love to speak my mind regarding, but seen as it may result in expulsion from this forum and also seen as this is a public forum - wouldnt want to bring bad vibes to the Club! . . . I'll keep them to myself(for now!).
