Wouldn't bother blaming Park. Blame the people who make these calls
Read above comment backpass. We lost the back bone of our team there.Brought in some young lads as well as 2 experienced lads who havent play for years. The training this team has done in the last 4/5 months has been unbelievable and there is teams in the premier not training as hard. You're entitled to your comments and this is what this site is about but you are more than welcome to come down to Mitchelstown and watch this team train anytime. You might give a bit of credit where its due then.
Good luck to the aul team tonight in tipp
Aul lambed 5-1 up in tipp
Very one-sided game. Apart from a ten minute spell early in the second-half Tipp totally dominated. Went 1-0 ahead early and were so dominant should have added a few more. Cork equalised on the half-hour from a penalty very much against the run of play. Tipp regained the lead shortly afterwards and deservedly led 2-1 at the break. Cork had their best spell at the start of the second-half but coundn't break down a very strong Tipp defence. The superior teamwork and fitness of Tipp told in the last half hour as they tagged on three more goals.
Anyone have the starting team? Answers may lie there?
Crow
Alan Healy
Jason Keegan
Colin Bevan
Babsy
Jeffers
Blakey
Daly
Kearney
Keane
Darren Lynch
a total farce ive been blue in the face from saying that the manager of the aul team hadnt a clue, well maybe a few might agree now. from winners a few years ago ,to gone totally back in his three years in charge,.totally agree with the midfields lack of mobility. in fairness the alarm bells were ringing when msl junior team beat them..
Heard Crow done his hamstring came off at half time big loss in my eyes, where was Shane o Neill and Keith Holden?? 5-1 is a hammering alright no beating around the bush, anyone know who got the AUL goal??
Funny thing el niño coro I'd they prob are thr best players AVAILABLE in the AUL, pick your starting 11 there see how it compares to Niall O Regans 11
Just a query - as I don't know the answer. But from that team and squad that won the OT - how many are still in the AUL and/or are available to be picked?
No it just I seem to remember a good few of those player are not now available to the selectors, off the top of my head I can think of 3 - Varian, Derek Mc & JP O'Sull.
”That should be NO problem for the defence – OH NOOOO!!”
George Hamilton...

the team cork aul had when they won oscar traynor 3 years ago were an exceptional bunch of players. The team that played last night while most are decent players are good bit short in all departments or the team of 3 years ago. The standard in aul premier anyway has dropped a good bit this season from last. I saw wilton play at the start of the season and was very impressed with them but their results since turn of the year have been poor. I have seen park united on a good few occasions this season and while a good honest team team no way would they be top of premier if other teams were as good as they have been in previous seasons. Leeside and kinsale seemed to be struggling to string together winning runs this season. however one thing i will say as a follower of junior football nationwide i watched glen celtic play few months back and they were superb as good as any premier team i have seen in most leagues. A good young team playing some very good football the right way. So while the premier in aul may not be as high quality as say 3 or 4 years ago maybe this has improved the lower division clubs not that i have seen alot of games in the lower divisions, its just an opinion and open for abit of discussion
if it wasnt for birds and booze id have played for ireland juniors!!!!!
Gents, I deliberately didnt get involved in the AUL discussions over the last while because I was involved. I guess my P45 is in the post today so I can comment!!!

Shetland, I dont know why your posts get so personal against Niall - to be honest it takes from what else you say in the posts. You dont even know the man and he doesnt know you. You call him a bluffer but he has won Premier A as a manager (amongst other things), something you or I havent done. Look at the post from nononsense at 10.56 last night. He gives an honest opinion without any personal stuff. Not nice to read but honest.

We failed - the 25 of us failed because we didnt win the Oscar Traynor cup as was our remit and our target. We let our league down. The responsibility in any team falls on the management and rightly so. The players couldnt have given us anymore over the season so Wilton, Blarney Street, Blackstone, Leeside, Kinsale, Kilumney, Park, Greenwood, Knockavilla, Douglas Hall and the other clubs involved - you can be very proud of your players. They represented your club with dignity and professionalism. They are a credit to their clubs.

To last night - nothing anyone says will hurt more than the hurt the 25 of us felt in the dressing room after. We went out with a plan and it didnt work. The first goal was a few yards offside - it wasnt given by the linesman or ref so it doesnt matter. We equalised and conceded a sloppy goal just before the break. 2nd half, we were on top for a long spell and should have had a penalty - it looked more of a shout than the one we were given. It wasnt given so again it doesnt matter. The direct free for their third one on 75 didnt look like a foul to me but C'est la vie. Goals on 77 and 84 gave the scoreline an unfair look. It may look like I am making excuses but I am not. I said above that we failed - Im just giving my opinion on the decisions.

Over the season, 99% of the people I have met have wished us well and genuinely want us to win. Some clubs and players let themsleves down with their attitude towards the representative side. I know, when they are in front of the fire in their rocking chair in 50 years time, they will regret it. I have had one season's involvement and, despite it not going well, I am proud to have been involved and will have that for the rest of my life.
Just remember, every kick makes me stronger and more determined. Indians always come back!
Horse fair dues for the post. Even had we won last night some people still wouldnt have been happy. Maybe the whole set up needs a fresh few set of eyes and new ideas. It happens to all teams when things dont go well.
I would be one who would always wish and hope the AUL side does well but in the last year or two the treatment of a few players has been questionable and this is why in my opinion that some posters are annoyed and disappointed.
