After a scoreless opening half Shane Costelloe put Limerick Desmond ahead and a second goal for the homeside, a Gavin Dillon penalty was enough to see Limerick Desmond advance to a quarter final tie away to DDSL on the week ending March 11th. Well done to the management team and the players on another great day for local soccer.

Abbey did put it up to us Southern kid, both teams were wrecked after it, hard fought game. We scored 2nd minute of the 2nd half with an Alan Fitzpatrick header. Abbey can play, especialy the young lad up front dont know his name, we had most possession in fairness but Abbey dangerous throughout . Yes we have 6 points from Abbey now, beat them 3:2 in COVE PARK.

Is there a resurgance in Askeaton or was it just a flash in the pan when they won away to Glin?
A few weeks ago they looked like they wouldnt score another goal this season nevermind another point on the board.
Did they sign anybody in January?
There must hassle in Shannonside, I cant see any other reason for their poor form. In my opinon they have all the best players in the league (Power, Russell, O'Donnell, Snow, O'Connor, Lane, Hanlon etc etc) and yet they are a drift in the league. The league was their's to lose this year and it looks like now that they have lost it. I hope the managers wages are not performance related.

Best Of luck to Broadford FC on Sunday I wouldn't be at all surprised if they go through,would be a massive result......
The league table never lies so therefore NCW & Broadford would have to be considered better sides at the moment, All decent players but that alone dosen't make a good team.For me Broadford are miles ahead of the other teams and from what I hear this is down to serious effort being put in on the training pitch,so they deserve all the credit they get. Very surprised to hear Shannonside are paying their managers!!!!!
