i will pass that on Roberto no worries
If anyone knows who updates the news section on the St Michaels FC website can you pass them on a little tip i.e. the use of capital letters denotes shouting so tell them to go easy on the 'Caps/Lock' button on his/her keyboard.
i will pass that on Roberto no worries
There has been a bit of talk about Tipp Town on this board recently. If they can avoid St Michaels on the way I can see them getting to the Tipperary Cup final. I wasn't at the game a few weeks back but they came close to knocking Celtic out of the Munster Junior Cup. Well worth an e/w bet for Tipp Cup if anyone was giving odds.
they should have beaten celtic that day i was there ,,they played football and didn't pull out of tackles celtic didnt know what hit then, its great to see smaller teams putting it up to big teams. the manager of celtic said that they were luck to come away with a win. so wilderness in the next round @home, hope they will get past them and another home draw in the next round. a run in the tipperary cup would be a nice bonus ,they have the shield and want to retain their peter o reilly cup and want promotion again this year, not a lot to ask for with the squad they have.....
Tipp town flying at the moment it's no surprise to anyone though as most of their players are at least 1st division standard with the exception of wayne rogers and Mikey ellard who are comfortably prem standard , I fully expect then to fly up the divisions and winning a lot of trophies along the way it will be great to have a tipp town derby game soon
Anyone hear that David McGrath is on his way to fairview ?if true big loss to town good young player
Ps apologies footballfanatic I blame the late hour I was tired and emmitional ha ha
Heard that about mcgrath as well, dont know how true it is though.
alright lads our team is due to play Nenagh AFC sunday week, was just wondering what kind of a team they are?
"Winning isn't everything. Wanting to win is."
Unless he is living in limerick fairview must be mad to sign him hes a very average player hes plenty of pace but lacks the skill and awareness to be a good footballer
Tony Scully was a brilliant striker for Town in the 6 in a row period with Paul anchoring the midfield and outscored Aoran every season, regularly hitting 25 goals and winning tsdl player of the yr awards like they were going out of fashion and then Barry Ryan signed after winning same award and continued to be top scorer every season at Town and now with him being injured this year Hynes has stepped in and banged in the goals, for a position thats hard to fill they always seem to have a striker although i must say Pa Quinn has hugely impressed me for Saints scoring in all the big games for the last couple of years, huge credit to Johnny Cremins he has turned him into a great player
Dave McGrath is in college in Limerick at the moment so it wouldn't be much of a journey for him to play with Fairview. He's not cup tied for the MJC either. I'd say they'll sort him out with with a new pair of boots and a few ham sandwiches. I said they will yeah
Have to agree stelling, jimmy hynes is class i can only imagine what he would do in a really good team, the thing that i dont understand with Town is why they have moved jimmy out to a wide position and play mcgrath up as a lone striker its crazy in anyones eyes.Mcgrath needs about 10 chances to score and to be fair with his pace he could be more effective on the wing where as hynes looks like he will score every time hes in the box,i honestly cant see Hynes staying with Town next season as ive heard he stated hel be off at the end of the year and who could blame him.Its common knowledge that the manager rates Mcgrath as a better player than Hynes absolute craziness to say the least.
Dave McGrath signed with with Fairview this morning. The deal is Richard Dunne
jimmy hynes is the best striker ive ever seen play in north tipp and when we were going well he scored 30 plus goals every year, i know hes living in dublin now but i didnt hear anything about him leaving town at the end of the year, either where ever he is he scored goals, top class stirker
was at tipp town game yesterday and what a game it had everything but the one thing that stood out was the quality of the ref jim walshe (chalkeys father) blatent hand ball on the line from a corner(no penalty) clash of heads where one player was busted open (and had to be subbed) play on he said. tipp won 4-3 in the end nice to see a big crowd as well for a 3rd division game around 70 -80 there.
Mcgrath was at their game yesterday, heard theres also one more going with him.
