Could be worse, we're going to call the grandstand in the Markets Field The Eoin Handstand.

"...Shamrock Rovers is only a team in that stadium. They're only tenants there. It's council- owned and therefore it belongs to the people of Tallaght. I think it's very, very important. Robbie Keane is an excellent role model for people in Tallaght. He's an inspiration and he's been very good for local soccer."
its a fair enough point i suppose.

Translation: "I want my photograph taken with Robbie Keane."
No problem with stand's or stadium's being named after sporting heroes from the area, which Keane clearly is. But doing this before he retires and is still largely in the public eye could backfire if he's caught doing a Ryan Giggs.......
I also can't stand Robbie Keane.
can't see this going ahead now. hes not exactly a great role model all of a sudden is he

Personally, in the light of last nights members meeting, i'd have thought Bohs fans would have more to be worrying about. But as long as they've a stand in tallaght to laugh about, and a fancy dress night to plan, i suppose that's all that matters really.
SDCC's stand, they can name it whatever they like. As long as they keep the place, clean and keep the pitch right, as per our rental agreement, i couldn't care less what they call a stand.
And thats that. You can close the thread now.
Good idea hoopy but we have far greater things to worry about than naming stands...
Since "Last Christmas" or longer Bohs fans have been telling ourselves to keep the "Faith". We're just "Praying for Time" to turn things around at this stage. For so long we were singing "We are the Champions" enjoying something of a "Bohemian Rhapsody" but were just way too "Flash" with the cash. As a result we currently find ourselves "Under Pressure" but "the Show must go On" or the League will see that "Another one bites the Dust".
