Regarding the footwear required for Aislings pitch, my feeling is wear whatever footwear you have, and if Aisling dont allow you on their field, which is their right, because of your boots, then so long as the boots are acceptable, under the LAWS OF THE GAME there will exist a problem. Should every player BUY an acceptable pair of boots just for 1 game v Aisling. If the Referees boots were long studs then what would happen?
They'd have a higher vantage point from which to view the game
We're does most teams train for most of the season?my hard long guess would be some sort of astro pitch we're you have to wear some sort of decent footwear ie astro boots or blades, not ur new spanking pair of converse or Nike's!
I haven't seen one team to come out of a sat evening to play under the lights on a perfect pitch, to give out about footwear or laws of the game about footwear!ur feeling would leave alot of fellas above in o'connells bar untill after the game, if they were to come along wit long studs!and if the ref was to miss out on fellas wearing long studs, we've installed an electric fence under the surface so you would get a good dart in the arse if u were to stand in the one spot too long, either by the aisling management team or the electric current, dont know which one you would prefer!
So the best footwear you can wear is as follows, if its light and drizzle with a slight breeze to the west mouldys or blades! if its a lovely scorching day like today factor 50 and the best astro boots u can find, other than that astro boots mouldys or blades will do!just not long studs!![]()
are you not entertained
F.F.s. don't be telling them they'll get a dart in the arse cause they'll all turn up with long studs!!!!
It seems a bit Irish. The laws of the game dictate that studs within a certain size are acceptable to participate in a competitive game. I admire Aisling foresight as this is the way forward for junior football but have players been turned away from games yet. No way would I allow a team on the pitch if one of our players was refused access.
is the hyde and kilmallock match off tomorrow?
