So, according to this, Waterford are better than Bray. I take back everything I said about First division teams surviving in the Premier.

Must be UCD's greatest night since That Dr Socrates scored his hatrick on his only appearance in the UCD colours!!:-0

Socrates never played for UCD, but he was quite philosophical about it.

    Ba-dum-tish!

Villarreal beat Aberdeen 1-0 in their second friendly. The SPL is gone fairly crap lately.

Sligo Rovers legends bet Manchester United legends 4-1 in the Showgrounds today in Gerry Carr's testimonial. Eddie Annand, Paul Cook, Padraig Moran and Karl Wilson (played with Carr at Coventry) got Rovers goals. Peter Davenport scored for Utd.

Bohs have sent a request to the FAI to allow us to cancel Shels on tuesday and play Everton instead in a friendly with Everton bringing over a largely first choice squad..

edit - game confirmed against Everton on Monday at 7.45pm. They are bringing their first team. Congrats to the club on taking advantage of the disruption and getting this done.

I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

I presume the someone at the club was able to make use of previous links. Either way, good bit of initiative from Bohs.

I think they just called them and asked to be honest tcm. We did play a version of them a few years back iirc so there may be some relationship there alright.

call the club Eamo. Its short notice as far as games go so you should be okay for tickets but just call to be on the safe side. Capacity is actually approximately 4000 (as opposed to the 3000 figure mentioned in the EFC article) so you should be alright.

Not these days I'm afraid. Connaught Stand is closed as it doesn't meet H&S

Shame, ground with such history falling to pieces. Happened to see today the GAA are to build a new 25,000 seater stadium off the M50, pity that sort of infrastructure wasn't put into the league by the FAI.

I wonder why Bohs don't put in a temporary stand in the car park for this match? I know the friendly was short notice all the same.

Well done Bohs, to be fair. Not only did they do us a favour and beat Sligo, but that is a tasty little fixture for the team.

Highlights of UCD v Villarreal. Anyone spot Villarreal's weakness?
