Bad result for Caherconlish tonight, would've expected them to win at home. Away to Balla next, very tough game. If Shannon Hibs mess it up now it would truly be a travesty

Oh I know ye have it all to play for pal. I just mean that if Hibs don't get promoted now they'll feel like they've really thrown it away, they were certainties 2 weeks ago and then got hammered by Caherconlish.
As regards Glenbrook, i hate the place! I've only ever won once up there![]()

Cup Final Report:
Geraldines 2-0 Pike B
Decent game, which took awhile to get going to be honest. Pike started poorly and I was surprised they didn't take the game to Geraldines a bit more. The Dines took the lead from a super strike by Derek Daly after the Hoops failed to clear their lines properly. That was pretty much it for 1st half highlights, but it came to life after the break with Pike having a real go at the favoured Candystripes, and two super crosses by Jeff Mc on the left caused major panic in the Dines defence, but they managed to get both away. Then the biggest talking point of the night when Pike had a stone wall penalty turned away after Mark Phelan was taken out in the box by Thomas O Grady I think it was. Both the ref and linesman failed to spot what everyone else in the ground clearly saw. Pike pushed forward after that but created little and late on they were caught by a sucker punch, Daly racing away and rounding Stuie before slotting home to seal the win and an historic double for the Dines. Great celebrations from their supporters but I feel for Pike as I thought on the night extra time would have been a fair reward for their efforts.
Congratulations to the Dines and commiserations to the Hoops.

The Beautiful Game
yes a very accurate report, but i dont think the best side won on the night first half very even, second half the dines looked nervous and hit pike on the break, how in gods name did the ref and linesman not give a peno for pike, well done to both teams the dines wont will take points off the top teams next year.
Dines should be ok next season, their midfield looks strong and will surely add a few more in summer.
no mention of the two penalty shouts for dines one in the first half and one in the 2nd and a joke of an offside flag from john mac denying them a 1v1 with the keeper.. officals wer poor on the night pikes peno shout was a peno...
I missed the first 15 but from there on and in the second half it was a whole-hearted game with both sides giving it everything, one of the best games in Jackman in a while I'd say,a real cup final.Pike gave it a real lash in the second half and were sucker punched on the break. Hard luck to them but well done to Geraldines who are back where they belong.Delighted for Sean O'Donovan,a true Dines gentleman who is unwell at the moment.
Any results from 2nite??? ..I watched the first 25 mins of Shannon town v pike ... Town were 2 up when I left poor game and disappointing that pike turned up with 10 players..
Hibs drew nil all with Granville, I think C'lish won 5-1 and Shannon Town won 4-2. Very close for second. Town C'lish will be some game

Hibs goin up!
Granville 0-0 Hibs
Gale force winds destroyed this game from the off and to be honest Hibs settled and played the better football throughout, but never really threatened our goal. We had a huge chance to win the game with half hour to go as they were reduced to 10 following a foul on our striker and as Davy Wall was last man he had to go. For the 2nd game in a row we squandered the pen. After that Hibs battled well and in fairness never changed from their football-first game plan. We were disappointing overall but still had chances to win it. Gutted not to take 3 points but in the end a draw was the least the visitors deserved.
My man of the match: Johnny Togher.
