if croom are thrown out of the league does that mean only one other team will be relegated
Anyone signed on an A form is banned for the rest of the season but if I remember correctly when shelbourne Wer banned for something similar a couple of years ago the players not involved in the incedent could apply for special disposition off the ldmc to move to a new club.it would be worth looking into for the fellas on the team that had interest in playing football and not trying to intimidate the ref

Think thats what happens, Did the time Shels were dismissed few years back.
Croom were bottom as it was with 5 points so looks like they would have been relegated anyway.
Granville 2-1 Fairview B
A huge win this and very hard fought. Fairview were not going to roll over easy and gave us a great game. It was a hard slog on a pitch that has seen better days, but in the end we were full value for the win. Our goals came from Barry Lipper and Kieran Patton.
Best for us: John Togher.
The Beautiful Game
Yes it was a very hard fought game on a very heavy pitch. Both teams tried very hard to play a bit of football but it was near impossible on that kind of surface. View struggled for a team today and not having a keeper due to the 18s match was a blow but fair play to young Josh for stepping in not easy when you have never played there before. There was nothing he could do with both goals as the first was a good free kick and the second took a wicked deflection. View had a lot of possession but never really tested the Granville keeper. Well done to Granville but i thought a draw would have been a fair result.

Bitterly dissappointed to leave without anything from this mornings game, in very difficult conditions we battled well but made too many costly errors and played catch up all game, trailing 1-0, 3-1 and 4-2. Credit to the home side for attempting to play football on what turned into a mud bath early on. Our goals were from Philip Coffey, Neill Mc Gourty and Olly Kenny.
The Beautiful Game
Dines 2-1 Shannon Hibs
Davey Wall with a great free kick for Hibs, Dines replied on the stroke of half time and then scored what turned out to be the winner with about 20 mins left to go. Scrappy match, not much ball played, mostly due to the pitch. was a mud bath. match should have never been played. that being said well done to the dines, a good team with some great players.
Anyone got the result of the pike b and fairview b match??
How the referee played that game this morning is a mystery,a blind man could have seen the pitch was not playable, how in the name of god did he deem that pitch was playable when there was puddles of water all over the pitch,no regard whatsoever for the players that took to the field, just goes to show their only in it for the money, having said that the players on view tried their hardest on horrendous surface, fair play to them, taught a draw would have been a fair result, anyone think the dines winner was offside?
Having played in the game myself I can say the pitch was horrible to play on but like you say both sets of players did there best. Dines winner did look about 4 or 5 yards offside and i think there first goal had crossed the goal line before it was crossed in and finished as well..............Dines pitch wont right for a 3-4 weeks now i'd say, hardly a blade of grass left on it...
lads, does anybody agree clubs should have more say on games being played that will damage their pitch for a couple of weeks or more a lot of time & work is put in by clubs to get a decent playing surface and you then get a referee who will play a game with no regard to pitches or both teams, what would happen if both teams took a stand and refused to play !!!
" football is a simple game "
dont agree that the away team will always want to play.. who wants to play on a pitch with puddles of water on it.. if dines refused to play and gave referee half match fee i would assume lmdc would award game to the away team as referee had declared pitch playable , so do not think it is as simple as home team refusing to play . would have more issues with lmdc who seem to let other clubs have games called off on fridays / saturdays after they make a phone call and then other clubs have to play games in terrible conditions![]()

once the match has not been called off before sunday,it is up too the ref if the game proceeds or not.
you can accompany the ref during the pitch inspection, and point out the hazards to him,if you feel the match should not take place.
but it is the ref who has the ultimate decision
The summer football thing should happen but probably won't. A lot of country teams would be against it and also the top few teams in limerick would probably be against it too. Even if the GAA matches don't clash with the football during the season then most likely teams would lose their players for GAA training, then the top teams would also be playing the FAI in the off season and their pitches can hold up the bad weather so it wouldn't make a huge difference to them.
Unless the FAI forced the change to coincide with the LOI (which they should) then I can't see it happening.
