Our striker hit straight at the keeper with a great chance...we swung a corner in that their keeper misjudged and we missed the header at the back post...them and the goal are three good chances...hence we could have been three up...so, no, no delusion on my part.
That said, and I said it already , we didn't perform in the second half.

Your entitled to your view but thats not how i seen it.

How about giving the opposition some credit? The reason ye didn't perform in the second half in my opinion was because they held onto the ball so well and they exposed the weaknesses in your defence. The long game ball ye played was also food and drink to there back four.

Anyways best of luck for the season - fabulous new pitch ye have.

    Mungret 0 - 1 Charleville

Decent game i thought with not much between the sides. I thought we shaded it but just didn't take our chances. Charleville keeper pulled off one of the best saves I've seen after about 20 mins. To be fair our keeper never had to make a save but they got the winner about 10-15 mins left from a free kick which we defended terribly. We pushed late on but couldn't make the breakthrough.
Disappointing result for us but credit to Charleville - they try to play ball in fairness to them. Best of luck for the season.

No I take your point they were good in the second half and used the outlet to thier right winger alot and effectively. Which as very hard to stop.
I think they will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

Very poor result for Hibs last night, they should be beating the likes of Pike B at home if they have aspirations of winning the league, long way in the season to go yet though...Some other maybe surprising results too with Mungret getting beat by Charliville and Granville getting beat by Carherconlish ...It will be a very intresting season this season, that's for sure

its early days but i think a good start is crucial and i think they will get stronger as the season goes on. Tough one sunday alright but its been a few seasons since 1a was this competitive i think so it will take 2 good teams to go up, besides the 3 that can't of course

Intresting choice of language my friend. I'm sure Hibs will be delighted with you come the day of the rematch..
Everything you said after that was true though, very tough calling this division. And very early days.

What do you mean by the likes of pike b,they are in division 1A on merit, they have a very strong panel of players and will beat most teams in this division,a good few of their players have played for their a team, likes of sniffer, smackers and Frankie Stewart, and in Eddie lee and Jeffrey mc are probably two of the best players in this division,so your comment is way off the mark, wouldn't be one bit surprised if they won this division or the divisional cup, they definetly won't fear Shannon hibs anyway.
