Surely its quality over quantity at this stage lads. I mean its all well and good having 20 odd training but if they are bleedin' useless then they aren't gonna be much good!
I remember years when you'd arrive down for pre-season and there would be a massive crowd there...you'd do the hard running and get down to a few five asides or whatever and then there are lads falling over their own feet or the football.
A small nucleus of quality is better than a load of sh*te!
My Goal Is To Deny Yours...
A lot of teams get huge numbers in pre-season and by the time the season comes they are down to 15 or 16 players. A lot drop out because they are not up for the commitment, some aren't up for the training and some have other reasons. Having a committed 15 or 16 is the main thing to have along with a bit of quality. If you have that you won't go far wrong in a season.
Sometimes though having really low numbers can be very disheartening, especially for the management. Nothing worse than going down training week after week to find 9 or 10 players only down.
Granville and Mungret will be the teams to beat although i heard Mungret lost a few players
Ger Bourke is going to the Boro and Keith McNicholas to Fairview
thats what i was told anyway,1a should be very tight this season with Pike B in there aswell
Best of luck to all teams
I dunno to be honest...try to avoid that place... ;-)
Still gonna have a couple of feisty derbies this year.
