Its the A team that need more up training.
15 training, another there injured. Several working. Pike won everything last season, and they had 6 and 7 training this time last year my Spanish friend.

Especially this year. Last year Summerville and Wembley stood out from the off, but this year is so much tougher to predict I reckon. Once the ball starts rolling we shall see. Are Fairview B still about then??

Surely its quality over quantity at this stage lads. I mean its all well and good having 20 odd training but if they are bleedin' useless then they aren't gonna be much good!

I remember years when you'd arrive down for pre-season and there would be a massive crowd there...you'd do the hard running and get down to a few five asides or whatever and then there are lads falling over their own feet or the football.
A small nucleus of quality is better than a load of sh*te!

A lot of teams get huge numbers in pre-season and by the time the season comes they are down to 15 or 16 players. A lot drop out because they are not up for the commitment, some aren't up for the training and some have other reasons. Having a committed 15 or 16 is the main thing to have along with a bit of quality. If you have that you won't go far wrong in a season.

Sometimes though having really low numbers can be very disheartening, especially for the management. Nothing worse than going down training week after week to find 9 or 10 players only down.

Ya but they are very hard to come by...sometimes you just have to take the fella who shows up every year and has his own gloves.

Granville and Mungret will be the teams to beat although i heard Mungret lost a few players
Ger Bourke is going to the Boro and Keith McNicholas to Fairview
thats what i was told anyway,1a should be very tight this season with Pike B in there aswell
Best of luck to all teams

I dont see how Granville can or will be good enough unless they have signed a lot of players. Mungret, Charleville and maybe Geraldines would be my 3 against the field.

Killmallock would be ye're closest derby I would think. Only about 5km between them isn't there.

Yeah that'd be the closest one alright. Closest team in 1A to us is Croom. 2 close games last season
