Is is certain that the league fixed the date for last nights game?
I thought it was City's idea to fix it for last night so that they wouldn't have too many league games in hand.
Either way its a lame excuse. With a mostly full time squad it isn't a big deal to play two home games in 4 days and then travel to Sweden to play a game on Sunday.
City were a different team to Saturday. Unable to pass the ball at all. We deserved to draw the game as Bohs weren't great but not exactly a league winning performance.
Lads, quit this Dublin bias thing.
There's no doubt in my mind that City agreed (maybe even requested) that the fixture be played on tuesday. It was done because we were on a good run of form, and more importantly didn't want a build up of fixtures at the end of the season.![]()
Cork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007.
Bohs were playing Rovers on the Saturday and so didn't want to play on the originally scheduled Monday. We couldn't play on the Tuesday so it was put off.Originally Posted by vito_golightly

Irrespective of who arranged last nights tie IMO that is not a valid excuse for essentially holding up a cup competition. Semi fina;l can't be scheduled or played til ye play the 1/4 final.Originally Posted by Schumi
It hasn't held it up actually. The semis were scheduled for 3rd July from the start of the season so they haven't had to be delayed at all.

what a load of rubbish, i blame the dublin bias
we all know it exists
dublin clubs, fai in merrion square
i ask you![]()
Thee is no reason why a club shouldnt play weekend games and midweek too!
I thought it very strange last year when rovers cancelled matchs to suit the intertoto???
two games a week is not too much to ask...
Imagine we ever got into the Champions League!!
We'd have to go 3 months without a league game,,
Lads,
Apart from rolling on the floor laughing, there's only one answer to charges of 'Dublin bias', and it comprises two words. Alan Kelly. (Although many would prefer to stick a few extra ones between them.)
Anyway, I still hope you stuff the Swedes.![]()

Cant believe we lost that game last night. I felt City were by far the better team, and should have had the bloody thing wrapped up by HT.
Thought Lordan was poor last night. He couldnt really handle Harkin and Crowe, though he made an excellent tackle/clearance towrds the end to prevent a certain goal.
I dont think Flynn was all that bad, though he is a pale shadow of his former self. I would seriously drop him for a bit, put Doyle up front with Fenn, and put Billy back on the right. or indeed when Gamble is cleared to play, put Colin out there.
Pathtic crowd. it cost City alot, as if it were a fine evening there would have been 6000+ there.

Mickey was blatently impeded. I thought the pr*ck blew for the free out.
City should seriously think about refusing to play games reffed bythat assh*le.
Every club's fans complain about the ref, but this guiy has seriously f*cked us over this season, and he may get 2 or 3 more of our game. He has major responsibility in us losing 5 points already.
Outside of that, we had enough chances to win 3 games. Flynnie is very inconsistent at the moment. We could have scored about 4 times in the last few minutes alone. To think that we only played in fits and starts, yet were well on top of Bohs.....![]()
One of the lads tried to speak reasonably to the referee assessor Pat Kelly after the game last night. Kelly's response was "there are a few people ye can blame tonight but the ref isn't one of them".... wtf does that mean? He then went on to say "I think your glasses are the same colour as your jersey". He's supposed to be in charge of refs but with an attitude like that is it any wonder that we have to put up with the likes of Stokes, O'Neill and McKeon.Originally Posted by patsh
As Patsh said I know we're always moaning about refs but believe me Stokes is an absolute joke at this stage and I'm convinced that any time he will ref one of our games this season we will be screwed. He's cost us a lot of points this season and if it were not for him we'd be a lot lot closer to Shelbourne.
Champions!
The zoom lense in my eyes musn't have been working too good....didnt see the Blantent Impede....Looked like he misjudged....I'll wait until I see the reply before being sure......Of course it wouldnt suprise me if stokes saw it and decided to not blow up.....he probably headed back to dublin on the Bohs bus......Originally Posted by patsh
