    Are City in debt?

I read in the Echo that City received E 50,000 for qualifying for the Intertoto from UEFA, the gist of the story was that City spent this on the trip to Sweden and following the trip to Holland they are E 25,000 in the red. Is this completely accurate? I mean since they have progressed to the second round surely there was another payment from UEFA? Is this just the poor mouth from City or are they really E 25,000 in debt?

I would think realistic enough that cost 50k for malmo trip cos they were there for 4 nights & flights alone must have cost close to 300 a head. Alos 25k for Nijmegen trip probably accurate as had to be booked at short notice.

I would think those figures exclude gate receipts from malmo home game (30-40k) & potential 80k+ from sundays game.

Would mean city make Net 70-80k from 2 rounds?

Don't have the figures for this years competition, but found an old site on UEFA.com which lists the payments as CHF 50,000 per round for the first three rounds back in 2001. I can't imagine it's decreased since then.

you will have no problem getting a hotel or a b&b on the day

    http://www.hotel-in-cork.com/

Lots of B&b's on the western road and these would be cheaper than Hotels. just get in a taxi and ask the driver to take you there!

Well, they arrived in Cork Airport a while ago. They look like a big side.

apparently malmo looked a big side to many though IMO they were not too physical.anyway we have liam kearney and he's got sum serious physical presence .no but seriously i want at the nec match and havent seen the coverage on chorus either so were nec the real deal or were they anygood at all.predictions for the home leg?or is it too close to call.city are just about favourites with most of the bookies in ireland at least.

    CMON THE REBEL ARMY!
    j'accuse!
