I forgot about "A Shot at Glory" with Michael Keaton, Robert Duvall and....Ally McCoist: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...s=dvd&n=507846
Also "The Cup" is a good one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...video&n=507846
There is also another film being made called "Goal!" which follows a Latino kid from LA who is picked up by Newcastle United. It is part of a trilogy and ends up with him playing at the World Cup and is backed by FIFA. Apparently it has already started filming with Hugo Viana (yes) playing the guy on the field and cameos with our best mate Alan Shearer. Might not be complete for another year or two. Have Boot Disk, will travel
ID is a great film, not really a big screener more suited to TV but still very enjoyable.
I checked out The Arsenal Stadium Mystery on imdb, here's the plot summary
During a charity soccer match between top professional side Arsenal and touring amateur side Trojans, the Trojan's new star player collapses. When he dies, Inspector Slade of Scotland Yard is called in and declares it was murder. It takes all his ingenuity and another death before the motive is discovered and the killer revealed.
I've heard of it, it's meant to fairly good.
