Nice one. Would have liked to have gone to shams vs athlone but I take it that will be the Saturday now. Sunday at 3:30 is a grand job.

Could we be looking at resting Paddy for this one or is he suspended anyway? He took a few knocks against Cork and if he gets injured against Sacred Heart we are screwed. The same goes for C.Tracey. McCarthy and White could do a good job. White was poor when he came on last night but thought he got into it a bit more as the game went on. Dave Ryan could get a game and also throw Broughall back in at right full for Corie. Without paying disrespect to Sacred Heart 2 or 3 key players could do with a rest, especially in defense. I'd keep the midfield and attack at full strength. Maye start Coughlan ahead of O Connor but thats not going to happen.

No suspensions but Paddy is one booking away from a suspension and I think would miss Shels if booked.
Agree with resting players as promotion has to be the priority.
hope we get the win good knows what team will be . Is McCarthy and Purcell 1 Yellow away from suspension . This could be a tuf one
Barry Ryan
Corie Treacy
McCarthy / Broughall
Purcell / Lavin
Frost
Sean O Connor
Judge
O Leary
Quinn
Hynes
Breen / Anyone Know if Flyners is back
Purcell shouldn't have even started; a joke of a decision. If he is missing for Shels, it is a reckless suspension. which lands at the manager's feet.
Sacred Heart were a terribly weak side. We could have been 5 up at half time. A team players (Lavin for Purcell and Donnan) should have at least been on the bench. Again there was no midfielder on the bench and Broghall was brought on for the last five mins for O'Leary. A team player Sean Brosnahan was given his first start scored two, and got man of the match. Theres a clue in there for someone![]()
This.
These were really bad, wouldn't be anywhere near the standard of a Pike.
Paddy Purcell should have been taken off at half time. Insanity that the option wasn't even there.A team players (Lavin for Purcell and Donnan) should have at least been on the bench.
O'Leary was having a bit of a mare for awhile before this actually, dunno why.Again there was no midfielder on the bench and Broghall was brought on for the last five mins for O'Leary.
Looked lively and took his goals very well but was up against nothing at the same time.A team player Sean Brosnahan was given his first start scored two, and got man of the match. Theres a clue in there for someone
Overall what on 45 minutes appeared to be a satisfying stroll around was turned into a right pain in the neck by some massive ***** acting in the second half. Couldn't believe it when the same eleven took to the field at the start of it and then went to sleep for a bit (they never ever looked like losing in fairness to them). The loss of Purcell for the Shels game is MASSIVE and with Shels four points ahead of us with a game in hand could genuinely be season defining.
For the cup draw tomorrow night I want Shams away, take the money, take the hiding and get out, want no hand, act or part in it with the squad the way tis.![]()

Fine.
Shams, Sligo, Derry or Dundalk away will make the most possible I suppose.
