BOYCOTT TOTAL OIL-Please Read!
I was a petrol pumps attendant on the weekends. I got paid a pittance but didn't get called into action that much (hardly any traffic, it was in a very quiet village), we used to sell the sunday papers, so most sundays I'd sit listening to the radiio reading through the sports sections...
still my favourite job![]()
Cork City: Making 'Dream Team' seem realistic since 2007.
I was a sand-based, beverage-container logistics technician in a tavern in Cork. Hated it.
Cushiest number I ever had was a security job for eastern Electrical. Just had to be there, there was a video player there and I brought my playstation. Crap money, but easily earned!
If at first you don't succeed, redefine success.
Worked at a garage, changing oil filters, spark plugs, repairing punctures etc.
I liked the fact that I was doing a good honest hard days work but tips were unheard of. I did a host of jobs when I was young.
From collecting glasses in a bar for a few pence to running youth discos for a small packet.

Worked in a golf shop a few evenings a week and on the weekends, had to listen to some tight feckers asking for discount all the time (BMWs, and Mercedes cars parked outside).

Lounge staff, then barman...
Also did a few nights security like Gary above. There was two blokes per night and we got there at 11, played football games on the playstation until about 4, then fell asleep and got woken about 7 by builders before heading home.

Of course he wasn’t serious but even jokingly, jokes about “your sister” are poor, 80s style playground stuff…Originally Posted by Peadar
