    France 2 Croatia 2

After watching that I think France are beatable if you have very high workrate and fast strong forwards, unfortunately we don't have the latter.

We have one fast forward, hopefully someone else comes along by October. France have no formation in midfield, they just play where they want to. The likes of Desailly, Dacourt and Wiltord won't be starters by the time October comes around which is bad for us.

Croatia are a very strong footballing team, as I remember from when they
were in our qualifying group some years ago.

I was in the bookmakers with 20 minutes to go with the score at 2:2
Croatia were 9-1 to win, France about 13/8 if I remember correctly
(betting in running) I thought Croatia were a great bet considering
the 2:2 score line, as that suggests the teams are evenly matched to
    my my mind.

Anway I had a £1 on Croatia and I almost won £10 back, unfortunately
a Croat striker managed to miss an almost certain chance from about
5 yards out in the dying minutes.

Santini is an absolutly ****e manager (good luck Spurs fans) and he'll be gone by the time we play the French. With the correct team selection the French will be a force to be reckoned with. I still think we can get 4 points off them though.

I'm not sure about the spirit in the French team or their sense of nationalism.

They played most of the match with ten outfield players of African origin, not sure how they will react when the going gets tough.

I remember Pele saying that an Africa nation would win the world cup
before the year 2000, I guess he was right in away but I don't
think he expected the players to be playing under the French flag.

And then you get folks coming on here saying that you must be born
and bred in Ireland (and able to trace your parentage back to Brian
Boru) before you can play for Ireland.

Maybe France should be forced to field a team of white, onion sellers
who reek of garlic and ride bicyles in a blue and white striped tops and
    black berets, smoking gitanes?

That would stop them winning anything

In a utopian world everyone looks on everyone else the same.

We do not live in a utoptian world, then if my national team did not represent
the country, I would not support them.

I am not sure what you are saying, you need to define 'represent then
    country'.

Are you are saying you need that some extremely strict nationality rules should be applied?

That would probably mean a lot of people could not represent any country because their nationality was not 'pure' enough.

So what are your rules for 'representing the country' and how many people
would that exclude from ever playing international football?

What a load of ********. Desailly, Henry, Trezeguet, Zidane and Thuram played their hearts out for France, won major prizes and are true Frenchmen.
